"From Guestbook, July 24-31, 2004 What a comfortable and restful place you have, so thoughtfully prepared and fixed for your guests! Enjoyed daily observation of 2 eagles atop trees on Bar Island each morning - in the wild - was a first for me! Like clockwork they arrived and stayed and often quietly disappeared. Both sunrise, sunsets, as well as moon rises were pictures worth 1000 words! Although our day trips were very beautiful, enjoyable - including beautiful shore walks on simple trails by Quoddy Lighthouse and Campobello - days at this cottage brought nourishing rest as we drank in the beauty of the sea, listened to the sounds of the seaside, and left all the cares of our homes behind. Discovering the delicious fare of chowders, stews, seafood, homecooked food and fresh raspberry pie w/whipped cream or chocolate peanut butter moose pie (at Joyce's in Machias) made cooking obsolete - though all we needed was here when needed. We found Jonesport and our stay here to be one we'll recall fondly and recorded in our pictures, journals, and postcards. Thank you! Janice, Charlottesville, VA"
