"We just returned from a WONDERFUL two week stay at the beautiful Victorian Rose. I wish it could have been longer! My husband and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and all of our children and grandchildren were able to come and stay with us for some time while we were there. Every one of them loved the house as much as we did. Over the 4th of July weekend we had 14 people there and there were beds for all and plenty of room to spread out. It was a very hot few days but the home stayed very comfortable, even the second story. The house is so well equipt, there was not one thing we needed that we couldn't find in one of the cupboards or drawers. We all loved the location; walking into town and/or to the Safeway (2 blocks) was a daily happening for all of us, sometimes multiple times. The owners, Catherine and Ross, are such warm, helpful and caring people; I actually felt like I was a guest in their OWN home. We have rented many vacation homes but we have never had the feeling for any of the others as we had for A Victorian Rose and the town of Grass Valley. We are seriously considering moving there! (Catherine, if you ever decide to sell AVR, please let us know :-) I can't wait to go back again and I will definitely recommend it to all of my friends. If you decide to rent this lovely home, I can guarantee you, you will love it!"
