"We stayed at Mt. LeConte Vista from July 12 to July 19, 2008. Within the first 15 minutes of arriving we saw a beautiful black bear peaking his head through the trees right below the deck!!! We were so excited...it was as if he was just stopping by to welcome us!!!!! The house was beautiful...anything you could possibly need was provided!!! The home was large enough that we all had plenty of room for ourselves and everyone felt they had privacy as well... We took advantage of the 2 community pools that were available...They were both very nice and not far from the house...It was definitely a great experience spending our vacation there and Val and Renee were wonderful to deal with...Their main concern is that their guests have everything they need and that they enjoy their stay! We would definitely recommend staying here at Mt. LeConte Vista!!!! "Wow! Our second stay at your chalet and we again had a wonderful stay. This time around we were greeted with black bears foraging below. Each night they returned between 7pm to 8pm. We referred to their time of arrival as "Bear-thirty". With us this time were our parents and oldest daughter and her boyfriend who did not make the trip with us the first time. The views are so breathtaking, that on July 22nd at sunrise there was a proposal for marriage on the balcony! Hoping to make it next year! Thanks for being so accomadating and great to deal with too! "November 18,2007Val and Renee were very attentive to any request we made. We are 6 old friends from work and we try to takeshort vacation's to reminiscence and enjoy each others company. So we were pleasantly surpised with the warm and cozy cabin. We enjoyed the beautiful view and watching the snow gently fall.The cabin was well furnished and comfortable. We spent most of our time at the cabin playing cards, listening to music and watching old Christmas dvd's. The view from the house is gorgeous and watching the fireworks on July 4th was really neat because you were higher up than the fireworks. The house was really convenient to all of the park and more touristy activities. It was also spacious enough for two families. The cabin also had all of the trimmings needed for a vacation home. It really was a home away from home.Dealing with the Morels, especially Val, was super. He was so detailed oriented when sending out directions/recommendations, etc. and really terrific with follow-up. "Mt LeConte Vista was a great place to stay. I have never rented from an individual before this trip, i have always used agents to get my cabin in Gaitlinburg,but i will never use them again.Getting Mt LeConte Vista was as easy as it gets. We did every thing on the computer in about ten mins.They gave us detailed instruction on how to get there,and did not even have to search for it, (or search for some agent to get the key).The chalet was great, very clean, and in good shape. "We spent Thanksgiving week at Mt. LeConte Vista and it was absolutely wonderful! Beginning with snow the day of our arrival, we experienced snowfall all the way from Chattanooga up the mountain to the chalet, where we found nearly 2" on the ground! Great fun for the kids. The view is spectacular (words really cannot describe it), the chalet is comfortable, spacious and has everything you need for a home away from home. It was the perfect retreat.My husband also saw a bear running up the road one evening, just steps from the front door - very exciting!We hope to return and see fall foliage in the mountains next time! "We stayed at Mt. LeConte Vista chalet for the week of the Fourth of July. The first morning we were there, we were having breakfast and saw a mother bear and her three cubs playing on the ski slope. That was quite a treat for people from New Orleans! The chalet itself was wonderful. It was fully stocked with all of the necessities. The hot tub was great after hiking all day in the mountains. With the view of downtown Gatlinburg, we got to watch the Fourth fireworks from the chalet without fighting the crowds. The parking was also great because it was a flat surface and not nearly as frightening as some of the other chalets that we saw. All being said, we will definitely return to Mt. "The view from this chalet is breathtaking. The 4 bedrooms are about the same size, so no one in your travel party will feel like someone else got the best room. All of the rooms have great views. By not staying in downtown Gatlinburg, it is much easier to get around and yet it's still close by. We had family in from New Mexico and Florida and everyone was really impressed with the chalet.You can rest knowing that everyone will have a great time if you stay at this chalet. "My wife Renee'and I have just purchased this chalet. It is in a great location with a fantastic view! The chalet was a little dated, so we replaced the kitchen cabinets and counter tops, installed a new wood floor in the kitchen/dining/foyer area. Re-tiling the fireplace hearth, purchased a big screen (51") TV for the den, and installed a TV in every bedroom. We have installed wireless high-speed internet for those with wireless laptops. We are also replacing a lot of the furniture. These renovations were completed in mid-April 2006. I am mentioning this so you know that this chalet is a labor of love for us, not just a business transaction. We want you to know that we will always strive to keep the chalet in tip-top condition. You can be assured that when you come back next year and in years to come, you can always expect the chalet to be at LEAST as nice as your last trip, probably nicer since we plan on continuing updating yearly.
