"Thank you for your personal recommendations. I took my 9-year old son to Plum Island where we had an excellent 8-mile bike ride on mostly level road with almost no traffic. The views were beautiful: woods on one side and nature reserve marshland on the other. Then we walked on the beautiful sandy beach for an hour. We visited Halibut Point State Park as a family and were taken by its beauty. It’s only five minutes from the house and is absolutely gorgeous. The quarry lake was serene with shady wooded paths and plenty of granite benches to sit and enjoy the view. The outlook is spectacular and the rock-strewn beach was breathtaking. On a completely different note we ordered pizza from the Rockport House of Pizza. Steve, the owner for 23 years, custom-made our pizza (we asked for a crispy crust) and helped us load our food for 10 in the car. Good pick! I echo all the sentiments in this book. The house and the view are wonderful, as are you. Best wishes, Seth"
