Comments From Guests of DurangoStudio

"Fantastic and comfortable little studio right near the Animas. We stayed for 5 days and every morning we made our coffee and walked down to the river to watch the train go by and the rafters launch. Everything you could possibly need in a house is in here. Will definitely be renting with this provider again in the future! Was close to City Market which was nice when we wanted snacks or whatever. I'm a native to Durango and have family there i could have stayed with, but this option was more than worth it. We could come and go as we pleased and relax in our own environment. It was just 2 of us and even though there is an air matress, you'd be more comfortable renting this for just 1 or 2 people." - Matt V., Chandler, AZ, 08/06/2013 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"My husband and I stayed in this lovely studio for a week and would highly recommend these accomodations to anyone. Everything you need is there and the bed is so comfortable we looked forward to sleeping every night. It is very cozy and close to everything and we will certainly rebook when we visit our son and his family again. Thank you!" - Kristina J., Evergreen, CO, 05/10/2013 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"This studio is very centrally located. Easy access to grocery store and a few minute drive to historic downtown area. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Studio had all the comforts of home. Owner was very easy to work with and promptly refunded our security deposit, as promised. I would not hesitate to stay here again." - Barbara C., Port Orange, FL, 09/30/2012 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"Lovely little studio on the second floor above a garage. Super quiet family neighborhood very close to the river walk. The studio had so many windows and so much light... views of the mountains and the sunsets. The king size bed was a dream! The one issue was the full-size blow up mattress. I would not say the studio sleeps four, as the mattress was pretty small, and there was barely enough floor-space to put it on. We were lucky that our 6 foot tall teenager didn't come with us, and we only had our 9 year old. The blow-up was just fine for her. The bathroom was very dark and could use some more light, but other than that, we had a great stay. Daniel was super easy to deal with and was always responsive and polite. We'd definitely stay there again, but would prefer to stay there without children, as it's very romantic." - Anne G., Albuquerque, NM, 05/13/2012 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Durango studio. The studio had everything we needed and was quite cozy. Upon arriving in Durango, we parked our car at the studio and walked wherever we wanted to go. It is very close to the river walk as well as to the Country Market. We also rode the free trolly from town back to the studio one day when we were tired of walking! We highly recommend the studio and hope to go back this fall. Daniel was also a pleasure to deal with on our rental." - Janet B., Douglas, AZ, 05/11/2012 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"Nice little studio. Would (and have) recommend to anyone needing a great place to stay in Durango. Thanks again, can't wait to get back up there! " - Todd R., Orange, CA, 10/30/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"This was our first experience with VRBO and we found it easy to use. The property was exactly as it appeared in the pictures, comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate 2 people. We found the location to be convenient to grocery, parks and the river. The furnishings were modern and up-to-date with lots of windows providing light. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property in lieu of a hotel to anyone wishing to be in town. " - Ken P., Emory, TX, 07/30/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"It was our first time using VRBO and were extremely pleased. Daniel and Heather were wonderful to deal with; prompt, courteous, honest, accommodating, and professional. The studio cottage was just as advertised and was in excellent condition. We loved the location, as it was in a residential neighborhood, close to the river walk and convenient to the trolley connection. Being new to VRBO, they were great at walking me through the process and answering questions. When we return to Durango, we'll stay at their location in a heartbeat...absolutely no reservations! We especially enjoyed our day drift boat fly fishing with the staff at San Juan Anglers and also the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gage Railroad excursion." - Doug, Minnesota, 06/30/11(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"visited durango in june of 2011 with my husband and our one year old son. we liked the location of the studio- close to the animas river trail (walking distance), close to parks, grocery store, etc. the price was great too!! the neighborhood was warm and inviting and felt very safe. i didn't have a lot of luck with the wireless internet, not sure if it was just my computer or what. the studio was very clean, furnishings were all great and the bed was very comfy. we would have liked one more chair at the table for our son's booster seat so that we could have all sat together for meals. we had everything we needed for cooking, and the washer and dryer really came in handy!! thank you for a nice experience, quickly responding to emails, and for promptly returning our deposit. if you are visiting durango with children, make sure to visit the discovery museum. it is a lot of fun for children of all ages!! :)" - Yasmin T., Phoenix, AZ, 06/13/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"We just stayed in Durango in the Studio. It was perfect! We could walk along the beautiful river after long days of sightseeing. Its location was just right for traveling both to Chaco Canyon and to Mesa Verde. The apartment had all we needed for cooking and relaxing. The quiet neighborhood meant a lot to us as we had just come from a very noisy motel in Moab. We wandered the neighborhood enjoying that small town feel Durango holds onto. I recommend this studio and will come again! Sincerely, Donna Crawford " - Donna C., Pioneer, CA, 04/25/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"I wanted to thank you for making your studio available for me to rent. I had a wonderful time in Durango and look forward to coming back very soon. The studio is a wonderful rental, both in terms of location and amenities. I also wanted to thank you personally for your advice and assistance. I had not been to Durango before, and certainly appreciated all of the information you provided. " - Louis G., New Orleans, LA, 01/02/2010 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"The location was excellent in that we could walk to the Animus River Trail very easily and we could then walk down town. The property was as advertised. It was clean, well-maintained and spacious for a studio apartment. We liked having a full-sized refrigerator and stove. We also liked the policy of leaving behind and thus sharing with the incoming vacationers our uneaten staples. We enjoyed going to the Saturday morning farmers market. I would recommend this to a friend." - Kay M., 1621 Judson Ave.,Ev, 09/21/2009 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"We had an enjoyable stay at this clean property and would stay there again. The studio is ideal for two, but you can make it work for three. Our college age daughter joined us and I brought a cot and sleeping bag for her that worked out well even though there is a queen size blow up mattress option available. We enjoyed the view out the many windows. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen and bath worked well. The location is great as I wanted to stay in a neighborhood near the Animas River that was on the north end of town. Daily walks into Durango along the Animas River Trail were fun and we regularly saw deer, friendly people and other fun sights along the way such as the Durango & Silverton Train. We could walk to the grocery store on our way back to the studio and pick up some breakfast treats too. Our daughter worked out daily at the recreation center near by and the folks there were friendly and helpful. I found the pictures at the website presented an accurate view of the studio and its quality furnishings with the exception of the “Private Parking Area”. In front of garage on the right side of the driveway was a medium sized storage shed and construction materials on the left side of the driveway. However, there was room enough for our truck and another vehicle that I assume belonged to the house occupants. A few suggestions for improvements include: • Add lighting along the sidewalk from the driveway to the studio entry door, at night it is impossible to see anything without a flashlight. • Replace the chipped coffee cups • Replace the burned out lights over the sink area. Only one of the three lights over the sink worked, but there were enough lights in the room that it wasn’t an issue. • Improve security at the ”Private Entrance and Stairs” door; Once inside the Private Entrance there is a door on the left to the garage and another door on the right to the house. These additional doors bypass the “Private Entry” and could allow someone access to the studio without a key; they were often unlocked. • Get a professional exterminator to address the ant problem along the entry sidewalk. There were none in the studio, but it was busy enough outside that you didn’t want to stand long on the sidewalk. " - Rob, Phoenix AZ, 07/22/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We absolutely loved this studio, the furnishings are top quality, so beautiful. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with quality down pillows and comforter. The kitchen was such as great asset, we used it more than we thought we would. The location is great, we walked to the market and the river - it was so close. The radiant heat was a nice surprise and very warm for those cold Feb. nights. We have recommended this studio to our friends and will stay there again ourselves." - Anonymous, Albuquerque, NM, 03/10/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"The studio is quite pleasant, and perfect for 1-2 people. Being above the garage, with 2 walls of windows, it has lots of light and tree views. One of the nicest things is that it is close to the Country Market. Don't bring any food -- you'll find all that you need, and many more food items you want, at this market a few blocks away." - Anonymous, 10/09/08(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)
