"This house was amazing! The location was perfect, the waves were perfect for surfers as they got waves everyday and the Tamboo restaurant was just a stroll down the beach. The size of the house was incredible, we were able to fit 12 people comfortably in the home. The owner, Kristine, was very helpful in answering all our questions we had before getting there.The only suggestions for the owner would be to upgrade a few things in the house such as the appliances and a few things in the kitchen. Other than that the house has everything you need. We were able to cook great meals every night for our group and the grocery store is about 10 minutes away. "We just returned from our fourth vacation at Coralina Del Mar! We have come back four years in a row for many reasons…a few of them include: • The location is the best on Sandy Beach…so close to everything, yet very quiet/private. The beach is literally just down a short set of stairs, and several of our favorite restaurants and bars are just a 3-5 minute walk. • We love many aspects of the house, but our favorite part is the large sun deck. "We began planning a trip to Puerto Rico for our extended family group last winter, and our wish list included being on the beach, in one house and hopefully having a pool available. Coralina del Mar had all of these options, but was on a part of the island we had rarely passed through in previous trips as we usually stayed in one of the San Juan luxury hotels in Condado or Isla Verde. The pictures and reviews on the home convinced us to book the house regardless of the location, and are we ever glad we did. The setting at the “Point” and the physical grounds of the home were absolutely gorgeous. We were a party of fifteen, four different families with seven adults and eight grown “children” most of whom were 16 and older. We came away very impressed with how much community space the house had. The deck, the gazebo, the beach, and three different living areas all contributed to a sense of never being crowded. There are a number of beach bars and restaurants either within walking distance or a short drive (up the hill) that you can enjoy, although we used the kitchen amenities and outdoor grill extensively during our stay. We found the kitchens, baths, and living spaces very well equipped and furnished. Plenty of outdoor seating as well with deck and beach chairs aplenty. Sandy Beach during this time of the year was very safe and clean, with just enough waves to make it fun to body surf, boogie board etc. You can rent equipment just down the beach from the house. Rincon is a small town, and the businesses are fairly spread out, but we were able to find pretty much anything we needed for the stay. We found that Aguada shouldn’t be overlooked as it also had some nice shops, stores and restaurants (El Galleon on the beach!), and Mayaguez was about a half hour drive for big city amentities, shopping, etc. I’d definitely suggest a road trip to the Camuy caves (90 minutes) which were amazing to see and easily accessible for young and old alike. All in all, a great vacation home for a large group gathering. It would also seem to serve a smaller group well, using either the upper or lower spaces which are separately contained units. The owners were gracious and helpful with suggestions of local activities, and the property manager was very attentive to any need that may have arisen during our stay. "The photos of Coralina del Mar don't even come close to capturing the beauty of this exquisite beach front home. The views of both beaches from the many decks and verandas are spectacular. The house is extremely well equipped and very tastefully furnished. It worked out extremely well for our group of 16. Even though we were a large group, the house is nicely separated so that everyone can get away to a quiet place when needed, yet there are ample communal spaces for large sit down dinners. "This was our 2nd visit to Coralina Del Mar -- and our decision to come back a second time was easy! (This is an annual trip for a group of a dozen friends and we have selected Rincon and this property in 2008 and 2009) * First, the house is very nicely furnished and well equipped -- everything we needed for a relaxing vacation was there. The 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms gives us plenty of room to spread out, but also has great common areas under the gazebo and on the large upper deck for everyone to hang out together. * Second, the location and views are outstanding -- it is very convienient to walk just a few steps to Sandy Beach and driving into Rincon for groceries or shopping is also very easy. "My girlfriend and I stayed on the top unit of Coralina Del Mar over Labor Day week and had an incredible time. The house is absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable and well maintained. The beds were as comfortable as sleeping at home. We loved being able to go out and have our morning cup of coffee at the top of the sun deck and take in the incredible view of the ocean and watch and listen as the waves crashed into the rocks right below the deck. "My husband and our two adult children spent spring break in Puerto Rico and stayed at the Coralina Del Mar home. It was beautiful, impeccably kept and had everything you could ever want or need in a vacation home. First off, the property is built on a point that starts literally at the sand and there is a wonderful deck that rises to a spectacular vista with a 270-degree view of ocean and beaches -- truly amazing. The deck is furnished with great seating and hand-made lounge chairs. I enjoyed the cool breezes up there as well as the quiet. For beach-lovers, the property is literally three steps from one of the prettiest beaches around. We sat on the sand and watched the numerous surfers catch some intense waves. The property features a wonderful tiled pool to cool off when you get too warm. It has a shaded and thatched cabana with hammocks swinging with the breezes. Perfect for when you've had too much sun for the day and could use a relaxing siesta. The kitchen is fully stocked and well appointed. We stayed in the three-bedroom property and it was so comfortable. Each of our kids had their own rooom and bath. The master bedroom sports rich mahogany furniture and more than enough space to store anything and everything. We met the owners, Rusty and Kris, and they were incredibly nice and accommodating. They helped us find great snorkeling areas and they called to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they've put a lot of time and energy in making this property the diamond that it is. "We already loved Rincon, but this home made our stay memorable. It is located right on an ideal stretch of beach, perfect for surfing, sunbathing or swimming (on calmer days). Every morning we would wake up to amazing views from the living room or outside on either the lower or upper decks. The house has everything you could ask for and even came equipped with toys for our young children and a pool. The homeowners also provided us with a pack & play, highchair, and baby gate. We stayed in the bottom half of the house. It is well maintained and large enough to accommodate two couples with one small child each. When you are here you will feel comfortable and relaxed. "Our group consisted of my wife & myself, three adult children, their two spouses, and three grandchildren. The occasion was a celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary. After exhaustive research we settled on Coralina Del Mar. From the first contact with Kristine to the last goodbyes with Elier their property manager, the experience couldn't have been more wonderful. We had great plans to travel and visit several locations. Ultimately we stayed in the Rincon and San Sebastian areas enjoying the shopping, beaches and this beautiful home. I echo past reviews in that pictures cannot do justice to the home, it's location and the beauty that surrounds it. Our two granddaughters played for hours with the toys and dress-up clothes that Rusty & Kris have in the home. We enjoyed relaxing moments on the beach, on the deck overlooking the beach and ocean, or relaxing in a hammock or even sitting in the home overlooking the beach area. The pool is not large, but perfect to play in. We rented all three areas of the house. The home is built in such a way that you can hardly tell anyone is using the other parts of the house. Great soundproofing. We took a day to visit a waterfall in San Sebastian with a Puerto Rican friend. Rusty even offered to take us there (he is from San Sebastian.) Highly recommend you take an afternoon and go there. Little bit of a hike, but my wife navigated it just fine and she won't take many moderate trails. May be next to impossible to find if you don't get directions. Our sons used their time learning to surf. There are great areas to do just that in the area. Elier can help you with contacts. Steps beach took all of 5 minutes to get to. Great place to play in the water, snorkel or just relax. Of course, since the house is already on Sandy beach, you could spend several days just playing there. All in all the property was perfect. Kristine & Rusty were awwesome. "Words cannot express the fabulous accommodations at Carolina Del Mar in Rincon, Puerto Rico. We stayed in the bottom portion of the house (3 bedrooms). It was equipped with everything anyone could need for cooking, making rum punch, or anything at all. Everything was very clean and organized. The proximity to and view of the ocean was incredible. Just step down to Sandy Beach or step up to the deck overlooking the cliffs and water. We enjoyed coffee every morning on the lanai and napped in the hammocks in the afternoon. We took advantage of walking to the two closest restaurants, Tamboo and Cafe Islena. Both were fabulous! We also drove into Rincon and looked around. It is very quaint. "We just got back from one of the best vacations ever in Rincon, staying at the Coralina Del Mar! My husband turned 30, so I rented the entire house for 9 days and had 8 guests join us. The house is awesome! Everything is new and up to date..flat screen TV's , ipod stations, etc. It is literally ON the beach and has one of the best decks in Rincon, sitting right on the ocean. We would wake up and have our coffee up on the deck, watching the waves roll in. The house itself is fabulous. It was absolutely clean when we arrived, in all aspects. The house has everything you need. Really, the pictures do not do the house justice. The house is walking distance to many resturants/bars. We went out to lunch, dinner and drinks many a days & nights, good food, good drinks and fun times. We thought all the restuarants were great . Service is a little slow. The tapas restuarant, walking distance from the house, was probably our favorite. The kitchens in the house are fully equipped, so you can stay home and cook dinner as well, which we also did. The grocery store is about 15 min drive. Our guests were in their 20' & 30's. There were 2 children as well, ages 3 & 5. They loved the pool and it was great having direct access to the beach! We are big beach people and Sandy beach is great. Good for swimming, body surfing and surfing. The beach is known for its beach glass, tons of it! Snorkling at Steps Beach is a must. We rented our equipment at Taino's. Really nice employee their by the name of Dave. It's about a 5 min car drive. Speaking of car's, I would recommend renting a car and also flying into Aquidilla Airport. Alot of our guests flew into San Juan, which is fine, but a much longer drive. Rincon is not a fancy place, very laid back beach/surf town. It has the perfect local flavor so to speak, that is why we loved it. Kristine and her family were simply incredible. They are honest and very friendly people, who are there to make you have a wonderful vacation. We will be back to visit at their beach home again. I highly recommend this house.
