"After touring Spain and Southern Portugal we both have marveled at the following at Casa Travessa: * Perfect directions for taxi * Wonderful welcome and quick tour to orient us to our location and close-by hot spots * The best bed, shower and welcome goodies (food) of any we have encountered * Tremendous tourist notebook with every possible location you would want to visit in 10 years -- too bad we only had 2 days, 3 nights * Great restaurant recommendations -- we are so tired of grilled fish, potatoes, ham and bread that Bom Jardim and Everest (2 nights) were welcome treats * Sintra was well worth a full day but we only accomplished a half Much more to see and as always not enough time... but Lisbon will be a special memory, thanks to the Klebers. "Thanks Deb for so thoughtfully and generously setting up Casa Travessa the LOCATION was great -- in a genuine neighbourhood yet so conveniently located to explore Lisbon. We shall long remember our lunch in the local restaurant. The food bore very little resemblance to what we thought we ordered and I had to wear ear plugs for the first half hour. But by the end of the meal the atmosphere and noise was the highlight!
