Comments From Guests of BeachBlas

"My family, our dogs, and I enjoyed our stay at Beach Blas. Cape San Blas is one of our favorite spots! The weather was awesome, the company great, all the dogs on the beach were quite entertaining and the lack of crowds made for a very relaxing week. We hated to leave. This was our third year at CSB and look forward to many more." - Fran, 10/20/12(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"our stay in september at beach blas was a good one. the only negative things about it are that for the amount of people that can stay there they need a bigger grill. also need to get new beach chairs" - steve duall, muscle shoals al, 09/29/12(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"What a wonderful week spent at the Beach Blas House on Cape San Blas with our family! The house was just the right size for all our needs (Three Families with 5 children) and perfectly positioned between the Bay and the Ocean. Everything advertised and said about this little ‘slice of Heaven’ was true to its word. The Cape is private and natural, the beach was wonderful, Sunrises and Sunsets were truly breathtaking, and the private pool was a welcome refreshing dip after a day at the beach. Fresh Shrimp and Mahi Mahi purchased nearby and prepared at the house, visiting the local trading stores, restaurants in Port St. Joe and the Wildlife center nearby was just a few of the memories that we will cherish along with our peaceful relaxing days on the beach and swimming in the surf. Your staff was informative and quickly reacted to any problems (small that they were) we encountered. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and we would definitely go back and recommend your Rental Services to anyone!" - Jessica, Acworth, Ga, 08/03/12(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We stayed the week of March 10-17, 2012. The house is lovely, wonderfully decorated. The photos do not show how spacious and well laid out it is. The small, but deep pool is safely fenced. We had the pool heated and it was nice and warm. We had good parking for our boat and 3 cars. We caught 22 Spanish mackerel--delicious!" - Anonymous, Normal IL, 03/25/12(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"The property was clean and had everything we needed. We especially loved the wrap around porches. We and our dogs were able to cool off and enjoy the view from the porch. The beach was just a short walk away. We and our dogs loved the pet friendly beach. It was so relaxing to sit out by the pool and not worry about the dogs running off. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a clean relaxing place to call home while on vacation. We look forward to coming back later this year." - Anonymous, Maryville, TN, 03/20/12(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"Overall we had a great experience. Even though the house is not on the beach it is close enough even with small children. The beach is beautiful, we enjoyed some fishing, crabbing and even got to see some dolphins – tons of wild life and shelling. The pool is small but it was a perfect spot in between beach trips - to us it was essential and the kids loved it. Dishwasher and refrigerator could use an upgrade but the house is in good condition and well equipped. The management team is great – they accommodated requests and when we had an issue they were very responsive. I would definitely recommend this property." - Anonymous, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 08/19/11(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We found Cape San Blas on an internet search for dog-friendly beaches in Florida. Our kids, their spouses, and our dogs all had a fabulous week. The house is as nice as it appears in the pictures. We viewed spectacular sunsets despite a few rainy days and early evenings. We would recommend this to anyone, pets or not, and will visit Cape San Blas again in the not too distant future." - Brad and Patti Young, Naples FL, 07/19/11(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"What a wonderful & relaxing house & area to spend a week. We loved that the house was just like the pictures & had everything we needed. We relaxed at the pool, walked on the beach, fished, had wonderful food including Captain Snook's/Eastpoint, and went to the State park." - Cindy, Farmland, In, 07/06/11(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"Our stay at Beach Blas was a memorable and enjoyable experience. We were very impressed with the upkeep of the home. The beds are so soft, we all enjoyed wonderful sleep. We were also impressed with the household amenities. It's kitchen was well stocked with the proper pans, knives, and small appliances. In addition, the washer and dryer were very up to date and were a major convenience. Not that we watched much tv while there, but it was great to kick back and watch the huge flat screen. The pool was a nice touch and we found ourselves swimming in it a lot. It's not a lap pool but it's certainly relaxing especially if you opt for getting it heated. We didn't swim in the ocean mainly because the first night we were there someone caught a 5 foot shark from shore and we noted fisherman catching them all week. Now I'm pretty sure these things were too small to hurt anyone but for a northerner like myself the thought of swimming with them gave me the heebee jeebees. I only have one issue with the place and its small. If the owners addressed it, I would give Beach Blas 10 stars. The grill has got to go. I appreciate charcoal grilling but those beach style grills are huge charcoal wasters and they don't retain heat like any other enclosed grill. If you want to stay a purist, get a Webber. Heck, I'll give you one because I like Beach Blas that much. Cape San Blas is in many ways a magical place. It's a great kept secret and I'm kind of glad it hasn't been discovered too much. When we were there everything was closed by 8 PM. And at night it is pitch black - no streetlights, no sirens, just the gentle lapping of waves against the shore. There is a wild feel about the place - almost as if nature is creeping up all around your home. And the people have a state of mind there that I try to hold on to as long as I can after I return back to my high pace corporate career. If you could sum up that attitude in two words it would be "No Worries". Unlike many other places in Florida, the people down there still understand and respect the concept of southern hospitality. It's reflected in the first class operation Sunset Reflections runs and in the kindness and hospitality of so many of the people you meet when you make a trip to the Cape." - Jim Steenbergen, Grand Rapids, MI, 04/27/11(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We had a lovely stay the week of Thanksgiving. Although the water was chilly, the weather was beautiful for almost the entire week. The home was lovely & spacious and I was thankful for the very comfortable bed. Having 3 masters each with their own bath is a rare find we all appreciated. The beach was wonderful as were the handful of people we shared it with. It was just a short stroll down the street and you are perfectly comfortable leaving your things there. The dog was extremely depressed to come home and still misses his daily beach play. I enjoyed the porch swing and the teens were thankful for great wifi (especially since cell phones were useless)! Local seafood was wonderful (Indian Pass Raw Bar is an experience not to be missed as are the sushi style oysters at Boss Oyster in Apalach). Riding horses on the beach with Two Bit Stables is something we won't ever forget. Both the home and the area are lovely and we look forward to visiting again." - Angie, Pinellas Park, FL, 12/07/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"What a wonderful place to spend a week "away from it all"! Beach Blas provided everything we needed, and the only thing we brought along was the food, and a WII system. Plenty of space, nicely appointed, well kept, and a very wonderful kitchen. The pool was nice, except it was a little cool. Surf casted at the beach....we actually waded out about 100 yards....(my 21 year old daughter and I) and actually caught a couple! Saw dolphins, sting rays, black finned sharks (one swam up close to us while we were fishing !! ) and a horshshoe crab.... Eagles, hawks, pelicans....really too much to list. The area is wonderful, the beach perfect..." - Ed & Belinda Artis, Paducah, Ky, 10/19/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We stayed 9 days the end of August 2010. Really enjoyed this home. We have been coming to the Cape for ten years and have to say this is one of the nicest homes we have stayed in. Loved the pool and the porches. I agree with other comments, it looks better on arrival than pictures indicate. We love Rish park for solitude and beautiful beach. Great time scalloping this year. We loved the kitchen and very well stocked. Very quite time of year to come. I would come to stay again and recomend to others. Enjoy those green flashes at sunset!" - Laura Block, Dauphin Island, AL, 09/09/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We had an absolutely wonderful vacation at Beach Blas and would highly recommend to others. The house set-up was perfect for us - my husband and I, two sons their families, each had our own space (the 3 masters, each with their own bath is the bomb!). Would make a few small suggestions, but all in all, a great house in a great location! Keeping our fingers crossed that the oil CONTINUES to stay away!" - Debra Slater, Alachua, FL, 07/18/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Cape San Blas; we only wish we could have stayed longer. Beach Blas was absolutely perfect for our family. It was very comfortable, well equippped, and nicely decorated with lovely, "beachy" accessories. The beach was beautiful, and the pool was just the right size for our grandkids. Our week there was very relaxing -- just what we all needed! Thank you so much!" - Bob & Terri DiChiara, Grayson, GA, 06/25/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"Enjoyed our week long stay at Beach Blas. Short walk to a dog friendly beach. House was comfortable with spacious rooms...and actually a wifi that worked with ease! Good times." - Chris J., B'ham, AL, 05/25/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We loved Beach Blas and Cape San Blas! The house was very comfortable and inviting. The beach was wonderful and our youngest son brought home a case of beautiful sea shells. We were able to go on (2) shark fishing trips and everyone in our family caught a shark - it was so AWESOME! Thank you for allowing us to bring our pets (Heaven & Zoe) - they had a blast too. We hope to be back soon ;-)" - The Von Ewegen Family, Ringgold, Georgia, 05/16/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We loved it! Wished we could have stayed another week. It was a wonderful quiet place to share our one year anniversary. The house was perfect, it was great having our own pool, it was quiet, not a lot of traffic, beautiful beach, and I can't say one bad thing about it! Thanks!" - Anna Ready, 04/21/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"The house was even nicer in person than in the photos. Everybody was happy with the accomodations. Our teenagers stayed in the downstairs bedroom( where they could not be heard) and my husband and I stayed upstairs. Our dogs were just glad to be there. The beach is clean and very nice. We saw dolphins every day and the sunsets are not to be missed. This is the nicest pet friendly accomodations we have found. We will come again!" - Nancy and Mike, St. Louis, Missouri, 04/13/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"This was our first time at Cape San Blas and "Beach Blas" exceeded all expectations. The home is comfortable and well appointed. Beach Blas offers the visitor a great balance of greenery, sun, shade, comfort, and views. The Sunset Reflection team adroitly handles all requests, is professional in all interactions, and welcomes you like a family member. We wanted a pet-friendly place that purposely had lousy cell reception - we (parents and teenagers) needed to unplug from the world to recharge ourselves. Our puppy, Stella, was introduced to the beach and woke us up each morning "requesting" to go back to the beach to play; we happily complied. As we drove back home we started planning our next visit to CSB. If you would like a laid-back place that has incredible sunrises, sun, and sunsets, you will find a CSB and Beach Blas relaxed and welcoming place." - Tim & Becky Thurston, Franklin, IN, 03/28/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We just loved the house, it was so nice. Felt right at home. The beach was great. So nice to find a place like this that allows pet, Augie had a great time on the beach, made himself right at home." - Megan D. Walts, Phoenix, New York, 03/13/10(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We had such a wonderful week at Cape Blas. The house is wonderful and the beach fantastic. We also enjoyed working with the Rental agents,We had a problem with the AC, they quickly took care of it. They were a pleasure to deal with. Our German Shepard loved running the beach and he was very comfortable at the house too. We will be back! Thank you for this house, The Behrens" - JoAnnie , Jacksonville, Florida, 10/04/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We have just returned from our weeks stay at Beach Blas with our 2 dogs Zoe & Tigger. It was our first experience at Cape San Blas and our dogs' first beach trip and staying at Beach Blas made it perfect. It is a very beautiful home but also cozy. It was also nice to come back from the beach and swim in the pool. I especially enjoyed the porch swing at night. We will definitely be back next year." - Tom & Debra Rose, Lawrenceville, GA, 09/19/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"I just returned from my best vacation ever! My husband and I spent a week at Beach Blas with our Golden Retrievers and the house and the beach were simply wonderful. We plan to make this an annual trip because we love the beach and the peace and quiet!" - Leanne Bains, Oneonta, AL, 09/14/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"Stayed the week of June 20th, 2009 and had a ball. Great house & pool. The beach was wonderful for the kids and very close. Tried the nature trail at the state park at low tide and found 30+ sand dollars in less than 20 minutes. Great week for the whole family." - Ed Evans, Owensboro, KY, 07/01/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"What a beautiful and comfortable home! On vacations, we normally stay in condos or hotel rooms, so to be able to have the entire house was such a pleasure! The beach at Cape San Blas is absolutely gorgeous, and with the pool at Beach Blas you have the best of both! Sitting on the front porch, I was amazed at how peaceful and quiet the neighborhood was--my 3 year old Goldendooddle slept like a.......dog!!!" - Nena Haley, Canton, GA, 06/19/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We usually go to St. George Island. We decided to try Cape San Blas because the sand looked much prettier than St. George. It was gorgeous. The breeze from the porch was amazing and we enjoyed the quiet slow pace of Cape San Blas. The homes we have stayed in that were pet friendly in the past were not nice homes. This is a very nice place to stay and our dogs loved it too. I would highly recommend this place for a family vacation." - Robin Richey, Atlanta, Ga, 06/06/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"Thank you for a wonderful week. The house was great. It had everything we needed, especially the pool. We have enjoyed coming to the cape for the past 10 years and it makes the trip even better when we find a house to stay in the that makes us feel at home and comfortable. Thanks Anne for taking care of us!!! Steve and Barbara DeLoach" - Steve and Barbara, Hendersonville, Tennessee, 05/14/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"My sister and I spent a wonder few days in Beach Blas. It is a lovely house, very well appointed, and we had every single thing we could dream of at our fingertips. It was only a short stroll to the stunning beach, and we did a long beach walk every morning. Anyone would be comfortable and right at home in this great house. My sister and I surely enjoyed it." - Maggie Parke, Luxembourg, Europe, 04/23/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"This was our first visit to Cape San Blas and we could not have enjoyed it more. What a well kept little secret! We came across it doing an online search for dog-friendly beaches. The beach was beautiful, miles of white sand, very few people, great shell-collecting. Our 2 Miniature Pinschers, Stanley and Mandy, enjoyed their long daily walks, chasing birds and sunbathing. It really is a destination in itself and we felt perfectly content staying home most of the time, cooking local seafood and enjoying the beauty of the gulf. The house was awesome, very comfortable, spacious and equipped with everything we needed. We also enjoyed shopping in Apalachicola and fresh seafood at The Indian Pass Oyster Bar. We hated to leave and will most definitely be back!" - Mary & Jack Kaestner, Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, 03/21/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"Our month-long stay February 2009 at Beach Blas was absolutely perfect. The house was truly a welcoming one and very suitable for a family or visiting guests. Anna and Rex checked in numerous times to see if we needed anything (we didn't). Being first-timers to Cape San Blas we truly didn't know what to expect, but the hone, the beaches, the people, the location, the sunsets all truly exceeded our expectations. Quite simply Beach Blas was a lovely home to spend the most memorable time!" - Diane, Elgin IL, 03/09/09(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We spent 3 nights here in December 2008 and loved it. The home is beautiful, spacious and well equipped for guests. The gorgeous beach, which we had almost to ourselves, was a short walk away." - Sally Gertz, Tallahassee, FL, 12/29/08(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

The house was comfortable and spacious. We especially liked the freedom of having our pet with us." - Norman Wright, 12/02/08(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We thoroughly enjoyed our Labor Day weekend at Beach Blas. We found the house to be comfortable and well-furnished with everything we needed. Our seven-month-old daughter and our bulldog enjoyed the stay as well. With a small baby, it was great to be able to enjoy the pool with our baby monitor during her naps. I enjoyed surf fishing on the beach (caught a few). We also simply enjoyed relaxing on the porches and watching the Gulf. We definitely recommend staying on Cape San Blas in the Beach Blas house." - Chris & Kristin, Milton, Georgia, 09/02/08(HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"Beach Blas is a brand new offering by Sunset Reflections Vacation Rentals starting end of August 2008. I am sorry but we do not have any guest comments yet. The home is beautiful, with lovely landscaping and a great private pool, nice gulf views and views of St Joseph Bay and close beach access.
