"Our mom (aka Nonnie, Granny, Mary) loves any reason to gather her far-flung family, and no one could say “no” to her 75th birthday celebration. So her 4 children, their 4 spouses and her 7 grandchildren came to Aptos for a week of fun. We had a great time at the beach, running and walking on the cliff drive, seeing the redwoods, the Mystery spot and the Monterey Aquarium. The Boardwalk in Santa Cruz was a blast and the garlic fires and clam chowder are a must. We also ate plenty of Marianne’s home made ice cream (72 flavors) and sampled legendary baked goods at Gayle’s Bakery in Capitola. Don’t miss the terrific produce at any farm stand or flea market you come upon. We ate 30 lbs of peaches plus loads of strawberries. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! Thanks for all the good food, scrabble games and TLC “WE LOVE YOU”! "
