"We stayed for our 2nd consecutive year at this condo. We liked it as much as our first stay. People that haven't been to the island might think the weather in Waikoloa Beach is the similar to Kona and that couldn't be further from the truth. Kona is nice and gets its share of sun, but because it lies at the foot of the volcano, it gets its share of clouds too. Waikoloa Beach is 25 miles north of Kailua Kona, and because it's set 25 miles further away from the volcano, it is far sunnier than is Kona. My wife and I love the sun. We see so little of it in Wisconsin so its nice to see it on vacation. So to me there is no comparison between Waikoloa Beach and Kona. Add to that the condo itself. Very clean & comfortable. Very quiet. And Helene is extremely easy to work with. So if you like beautiful sunny weather and an owner that is easy and resonable to deal with, this is the condo for you. "Dear Helene: Thank you for use of your home last month! We enjoyed it very much and found it very comfortable. The location was particularly good for us as we like to walk - the access to King's Shops area and various walking trails was excellent. We have already checked the booking calendar again and are planning another visit. (Our only suggestion is for a good chef's knife - we prepared meals every night and it would have been most helpful, or maybe a steel to get an edge on the knives...) "We had a wonderful trip to Hawaii. Your condo was perfect. We felt at home and very comfortable there. The location is great, plenty of activities that are close and not far from other places for sight-seeing. Bill golfed four times and I joined him twice. We took his parents to many beautiful places and the condo was good because they could also relax there when they were tired from the road trips. Much better than a hotel room. We did cook at the condo for about half our meals and found the kitchen well-stocked with dishes, utensils and pots and pans. It was difficult to leave and we arrived back in Indiana to single digit temperatures during the day, below zero at night, and 6 inches of snow on Tuesday." - Paula , , 02/01/07
"We loved the condo and loved our vacation here in Hawaii! Thanks for such a wonderful place. The week went by much too fast. Some of our favorite activities included hiking the volcanoes (got to see lots of real lava flow! Wow! Hot!); going to the top of Mauna Kea (it was breathtaking - like another world up there - and such a sunset); taking a 4-wheel drive tour of Waipio Valley...and of course we also enjoyed relaxing at the place here, pool and hottub.
