"Overall, we had a great August week in Stowe. The theater was just as advertised and we were completely happy with our stay. I know when I read reviews, I like to hear both the pros and cons to each place. No place is perfect, but it helps to hear what people perceive as the cons to help me determine if that is a deal breaker for me and my family. Pros: - Location: near everything that Stowe has to offer - Movies/TV options: Great for downtime after outdoor activities or rainy day. 3D TV and movies were a hit with kiddos - Very friendly and helpful staff on site (not just saying, every interaction left me with a smile) - Mudroom was very helpful in getting the kids out of messy shoes/clothes before going into the living area - Loved having washer & dryer on site - Screened in porch was perfect Cons (even though we'd gladly stay here again): - Hot water took awhile to get up to showers and kitchen sink - Beds were not the most comfortable - Funky smell that was noticeable upon entering. Sometimes it got worse than other times. Musty. (perhaps the AC?) - Mousetraps on floor in kitchen gave you an icky feeling - Indoor pool area had to be about 95+ degrees, very stuffy. Outside was low 80s. Water was extremely cloudy. Kids couldn't see the one next to them with their goggles. Overall, 4.5 stars, rounding up rather than down."
