Thank you so much for your kind review -- we strive very hard to make each guests visit an easy and memorable one. As for our credit card transaction fee, we are a small, family operation, offering our personal vacation home for rent for times that we are not using it. We prefer to accept personal checks for stays at our place to keep our operational fees to a minimum, but do understand that some guests would prefer to pay with a credit card. For those guests, we offer that option but ask them to cover the fees assessed by the credit card for that convenience. We always offer the option to pay by with check to avoid any transaction fees and most of our guests choose that option. But we try to be as flexible and accommodating as we can.

"Hi Drew and family, We really enjoyed your place and our time in Tahoe Donner. Aside from the thick smoke on Sunday when were we scheduled to leave anyway, everything was terrific. No question, we will return! Our friends were staying nearby and came over for dinner one night. We all decided that we needed to book your spot again next year. It is so very peaceful and well located. We explored the nearby area on our bikes and runs. We used the Trout Creek Rec center every day - which turned out to be pricey (for 3 of us), but so convenient! We loved that the place was so baby/kid friendly - we have one recommendation (and if we had our wits about us we would have just got them ourselves for you....) - more outlet covers! Also, you guys were so easy to interact with and your directions were very helpful and detailed. We just had trouble figuring out the internet - we saw the router and assumed wireless. "We had a dream weekend at this gorgeous, new, clean, comfortable cabin. The cabin is child-friendly and even had a basket of toys for kids, booster seat/high chair, foldable crib, and great children's VHS movies. My 4 year-old learned to ski at Tahoe-Donner downhill ski area just minutes away. They offer private lessons at the best price I've found, and the ski area is perfect for people just learning to ski. The recreation center has a huge hot tub just for families (i.e., kids) and heated swimming pool that's open during the winter. There's also 2 adult hot tubs and an adult swimming lane. For exercise buffs, there's a great work-out area. The cabin is next door to a big lot that is a fun place for snow play. The location of the cabin is ideally located close to big ski resorts. An on premises washer and dryer makes it easier for visitors to bring less clothing and come home with clean clothes. The open property next door allowed us to build a 200 foot sled run that perhaps others can still enjoy. "This is a relatively new property in excellent condition. Most properties in this area (Tahoe Donner) are new, unlike those along the Donner lake which are old and dilapidated. We spent almost a week there and the combination of the home layout, comfy furniture, all the modern amenities, high speed Internet and spacious and well appointed kitchen kept everyone happy. Sugar Bowl is about 20 minutes away. Downtown Truckee is about 5 minutes. The Thai restaurant and Zanos Italian restaurant in Truckee are very good. The owners are courteous and responsive to guest needs. We plan to call this our home-away-from-home when skiing.
