Spinnaker is a Waterfront vacation home in the private Oyster Bay Community on Chincoteague Island, Virginia.

We make the reservations and send you a reservation form and check-in information. You pick up the key and pay the balance of the rent in Chincoteague, where there are people to answer your questions, arrange linen rentals, or help you should you lose your keys or need assistance.
You won't have to share the property, boat dock, or 125 ft. waterfront with anyone else, so just bait the crab traps that we leave for your use and launch your boat in our community's free boat ramp. You are permitted to dock your boat 24 hrs. a day on our boat dock. Our Oyster Bay Community has no townhouses or condos--just nicely spaced homes on quiet streets (great for biking or if your kids are outside playing).
Spinnaker has everything we think you'll need for a relaxing vacation -- from dishwasher to washer and dryer and air conditioning.
The maximum capacity is 9 persons including infants with flexible sleeping arrangements in the four bedrooms on four levels (please see the floor plan on the house-tour page). With no one sleeping in it, the great room with its wonderful water views can be enjoyed by all. Pets are not permitted on Assateague, so we have a no pet policy.

"My family and I had a wonderful vacation staying at the Spinnaker! We stayed from June 29 to July 6. The house was perfect for our group of two families which included our kids ranging from age 1 up to 18 years old. The layout of the house is incredible and allows everyone to have their own space if they want or all hang out together. I can be very OCD about cleanliness and I can say I felt extremely comfortable in this house. It was clean and well kept. We fished a little bit off the dock but didn't catch anything. We did get to eat crabs we caught off the dock. That was a neat experience, especially since none of us had ever done it before. One of our favorite things was renting 2 kayaks for a day and kayaking in the canal. We also enjoyed spending our evenings and nights on the screened in porch. It was really peaceful sitting outside so close to the water. The Hutchings are an amazing couple to rent from... very easy to contact through the entire process and genuinely concerned with my family and me enjoying our stay. It was our first time visiting Chincoteague; therefore, all of Pat's recommendations and information about the area was greatly appreciated! We also received our deposit back extremely fast and without any problems. We wouldn't hesitate to rent the Spinnaker again if we have the opportunity! Thank you for such an extraoridinary experience!!!"
