 "Great place, great view, great service! We had a quick two day trip planned to Port Orchard, and did not want to stay in either of the two hotel chains in town. We rented the one bedroom unit, which was just the amount of space that we needed for the trip. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. There was high speed internet, free phone service, satellite TV, a DVD player, CD player with discs, and books and current magazines. We were also provided with directions to grocery stores and other discount stores in case we had forgotten anything. Our deposit was returned the day after our departure. "A great location for taking the ferry to downtown Seattle. Very convenient to Olympic National Park, also. Everything was very clean and decorated nicely. I stayed here a month without any problems at all. Really nice view of Puget Sound with the Olympic Mountains in the background from the front deck with the same view from the dining and living area.  "My husband and I enjoyed staying at Port Orchard. It was extremely clean and well equipped for our week long stay. However, it was further away than we thought. The ferry to Seattle was a half hour drive and then an hour ferry ride. But, having siad that, we liked being so close to Olympic Forest and had several nice day trips close by. We would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind driving a bit to see the sights. "We enjoyed a wonderful two night stay at the Port Orchard duplex in November 2005. We had come to the area to look at colleges for my daughter. I didn't want to stay at hotel. We were trying to stretch our dollars, and I wanted to have a kitchen so we could prepare our own breakfast and coffee. It was great to return "home" after a long day. The duplex is quiet and warm, I had the best nights sleep in that cozy bed. It was the perfect accomodation for traveling with a teenager. My daughter was able to watch TV and get snacks late at night, while I slept peacefully in a separate room. A hotel room wouldn't have given us the space we needed. I highly recommend staying here. The arrangements were all made over the internet and phone and everything was as promised when we arrived. It is a peaceful place, perfect if you want some quiet time with a loved one, or to do some writing or have a mini-retreat. I look forward to returning.
