"We went to stay here for 2 nights. It is a great cabin. The location is wonderful. Perfect for the kids to sled, as there was a great slope in the yard. No need for us to go sledding anywhere else. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The location was great, off the main road and very quiet. Close to the village and restaraunts. "A few friends and I went up to Big Bear for me and my friends Bday weekend and had a great time! The cabin is soo cute and cozy and soo close to Bear mountain. The cabin had all the kitchen ware we needed to cook a nice meal too. The super market is soo close. The cabin is just central to everything you need.  "My sister, brother and I had a reunion and stayed at Pine Rock Cabin. It was as if anything you could possibly need or want was already there waiting for you. We were amazed at how well it was equipped, everything from muffin tins to dryer sheets! We had no children with us but children would had so much fun with games, toys and such. It was very comfortable and cozy, a wonderful atmosphere with beautiful fireplaces. We enjoyed the pool table and just relaxing by the fire. The forest was right across the street which just invited you to come take a walk. It was an amazing time, wish we could have stayed longer. "This fall, my wife and i had the privelage to stay in the pine rock cabin. several times a year, for the past couple years, we take a weekend trip to big bear to do fishing and snowboarding during the fall and winter. "My husband and I stayed for 3 weeks during the month of July. The weather was spectacular and we played golf 2-3 times a week. The local golf course is just one block away. Our greatest joy was sitting on the back deck and watching the squirrels, chipmunks, blue jays and woodpeckers feed. We bought animal feed at the local feed store on Big Bear Blvd. The cabin is well maintained and stocked so we didn’t have to bring anything but our clothes and toiletries. The beds have electric blankets with dual controls. The klitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and dishes, even paper towels. The local Vons and Stater Bros. are very convenient at just a mile away down Moonridge drive. So dining in is a real treat. The cabin comes equipped with an outdoor gas grill and the propane tanks are full. It also has free wireless internet service so we could stay in touch with friends and family as well as keep up on any breaking news. The cabin also has 3 TVs with expanded basic Charter cable. When not eating in, our favorite restaurants are, Thelmas for breakfast and lunch, Pongs for great sushi and Chinese food, and Sweet Basil for trendy light Italian food. The prices for all 3 restaurants are very reasonable. The lake and Big Bear Village is about 5 miles away and easy to get to down Big Bear Blvd. There is a a swim beach, boat rentals and plenty of good fishing. The Village has two movie theaters with current films and plenty of walking for shopping, eating and exercise. The ice cream is a real summertime treat. We have already rented the cabin for next July and look forward to another pleasant time in Big Bear thanks to this wonderful Cabin and the thoughtfulness of its owners. "Every place around Big Bear seems to claim "close to the slopes." We've been disappointed quite a few rtimes with other rentals. Well let me tell you THIS PLACE is CLOSE to the SLOPES! "We had such a great time at the Pine Rock Cabin which far exceeded our expectations. Location is the primary reason we chose it and the fact that it had a pool table is the second reason.  "I never leave a comment in a guest book but our experience with Tobi and her Cabin finally inspired me to leave my first. First the cabin: very spacious and comfortable, especially if you are with kids (we had a one year old, 3 year old and a five year old with us). It is very close to the slope and to the city center. We played a lot of pool which is just one of the the numerous games that are available for guests. One of our group members lost a ring and initially it was nowhere to be found. A month later Tobi e-mailed me that she found the ring and today she handed it over to me in LA, we met just 10 blocks from where I work, that is service! "Our winter retreat to this cabin was absolutely amazing! The cabin was actually bigger than the pictures made it out to be and the cabin has the perfect layout for entertaining. The bedrooms are on one side of the cabin and the gameroom/kitchen table was on the other side. Our 1 year old slept peacefully while we were in the game room playing pool and board games! The cabin was very kid-friendly and we had a great time!
