"Recently our family of nine, ages 8 to 80, stayed at the Orchid House in Poipu. This was our first use of a VRBO and we were not disappointed. Located on a quiet residential street, the property is gorgeous with a view towards The Grand Hyatt Resort and Shipwreck Beach, with easy access to nearby walking trails and beaches. It features an ideal floor plan and amenities to accommodate all a family needs for a very comfortable home-away-from-home for a week (or longer). I cannot heap enough praise on the homeowner with whom we had contact throughout the booking, planning and stay, and how she is the most friendly and accommodating person to interact with. For instance, during the planning phase, we asked a number of questions, and this is but one example of her attention to detail, what games were available and offered our suggestions, and she delivered said games. The home provides all the necessary beach items - toys (for the pool, too), snorkel gear, boogie boards, surf boards, water shoes, chairs and towels. And that praise extends to the property manager who quickly became "my new best friend". He was the face that showed us around, explained the workings of the house, and quickly responded to any issue that arose during the week. If you book this property you will be in for a treat and have the opportunity to interact with people exuding true Aloha Spirit."
