Christy and Aldaron Laird bid you welcome to the beautiful north coast and Arcata, where the redwoods meet the sea. At Rose Court Cottage guests may enjoy the features of a bed and breakfast while indulging in the comforts of a private cozy suite.
Comfort awaits you at this delightful retreat, in the historic heart of town, but a “scones throw away” from the Plaza and Humboldt State University. Our ideal location makes it convenient for guests to leave their car and stroll to shops, restaurants, movies, the Arcata Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, or Redwood Park trails.
Rose Court Cottage is adjacent to our 1930's Tudor craftsman bungalow with access through a brick courtyard with roses, jasmine covered arbor, trailing wisteria, and fountain. French doors open into a quiet and cozy self-contained suite with sleeping, living and dining area, kitchenette, and private bath. The décor combines arts & crafts era ambiance with country French charm and the interior is appointed in a richly hued motif with warm wood trim, custom faux finishing and stenciling, multi-light windows, and sumptuous furnishings and linens. We have made every effort to provide our visitors with thoughtful amenities guaranteed to make their stay a memorable one.

Property Amenities
Our property, on the corner of Thirteenth and H Streets, is notable in Arcata for its charm and garden. We have lovingly renovated our Tudor home inside and out and designed landscaping in the English cottage garden style. Our residence was featured on Home and Garden Television's Old Homes Restored program in 2002 and has been a garden tour favorite of the Humboldt Botanical Garden Society on three occasions since 1997.
