Enjoy the best of all worlds in this wonderful recently remodeled cottage in the heart of the “Golden Rectangle”, just 5 blocks from the picturesque Carmel beach and walking distance from the engaging village of Carmel.
For a typical Carmel cottage, this home is particularly spacious, featuring 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, sleeping up to 8. The home has been recently renovated, retaining the old high ceilings, hardwood floors and charming diamond window panes while adding new lighting, carpeting, and a complete updating of the kitchen and bathrooms. The owners have taken great pride in this house and the attention to detail can be seen throughout.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and wine or sparkling cider, passes to the renown Spa on the Plaza in downtown Monterey, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards' tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, plush spa bathrobes, slippers, over-sized towels and beach gear.
As you enter into the home, you are drawn to the beautifully decorated living room, with vaulted beamed ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace hand-crafted in Carmel stone by a local artisan.
This home is tastefully appointed with family heirloom antiques mixed with attractive contemporary pieces. The common areas have newly refinished hardwood floors, and there is new wall-to-wall wool carpeting in the bedrooms. The living room, dining room and kitchen have cathedral ceilings and lots of light.
The spacious kitchen is a chef's dream with stunning granite countertops, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances and a gas Viking stove with griddle. Between the kitchen and the living room is a well-equipped bar area.
Three bedrooms are located on the main floor -- all spacious, beautifully decorated and outfitted with new luxury beds and linens.
The master bedroom has high beamed ceilings, skylights, a Carmel stone gas fireplace and French doors leading to a lovely patio. Enjoy your coffee outdoors as you bask in the morning sun. The king bed, fitted with luxury linens, looks out into the patio and garden area. The room invites you to relax with a good book or enjoy a movie on a 40” HDTV with Blu-ray player. Or, it could serve as your “home office.” A large desk, printer/scanner and Wi-Fi allow you to stay connected and get away guilt-free. The master bathroom has been completely remodeled with marble, limestone and mosaic tile accents and has 2 sinks, an air-jet Jacuzzi tub and spacious walk-in shower.
The other bedrooms are located off the main hallway and share a bathroom. The 2nd bedroom, equipped with a queen bed with luxury linen, has ample closet space. The 3rd bedroom has twin beds with luxury linens that can be converted into a king bed with a foam topper.
The hall bath has been completely renovated, incorporating blue glass tile into the pristine white tile and marble with an oversized walk-in shower.
A spacious deck off of the hallway invites you to relax and enjoy the moderate Carmel Mediterranean climate. A gas barbecue grill is provided for you to dine al fresco.
The 4th bedroom is located on the lower level of the home and has its own bathroom and walk-in shower. It has a high-end extra-long full-size bed and extra-long twin bed, and the décor is all about the beach! A 45” HD TV and DVD player round out the room, which is a perfect place for the kids to hang out.
