"This vacation home was truly that, a home away from home. My family and I were visiting the area under rather difficult circumstances. We had just lost my grandfather and were in town for the funeral. A Victorian Rose provided a beautiful, calming respite. We were fortunate that a reservation was available for the weekend we needed and Catherine made all the arrangements so easy. Reservations, confirmation, and "check-in" were so smooth. The spacious home provided plenty of room to "get away" when each of us needed our own private time. The game room provided a fun getaway for my 12 year old son. Empire Mine State Park is within walking distance for day hikes and downtown is just a hop/skip/jump...you almost don't need a car once you are there. There was something for everyone!! We all thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful aesthetics of the home, too. It truly was a place that made us feel "at home". I was especially impressed by the kitchen and how wonderfully well stocked it was. I could cook for the family with no worries that I might need to go out and get anything other than food. This vacation home was fabulous and more than I anticipated. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone visiting the area. "
