In May 2005 we swapped the grey skies of the UK for the blue skies of Andalucia. Here, in the charming village of Pulpite, we found our very own slice of paradise, two cave houses nestled amid the olive & almond groves, basking in the glorious Mediterranean sun. We now invite you to share in our dream... The rental cave is approximately 50 metres from our home, close enough if you need assistance but far enough away to ensure you have complete privacy. The kitchen is equipped with all the pots, pans, cutlery and crockery you might need as well as having a full-sized gas cooker and fridge.All linens are included and, with the bed settee in the lounge, the property can comfortably accommodate six adults. The lounge also has a music stereo and satellite TV for when you need a break from the bars!
Outside there is a patio area with seating and a sunshade, parking and use of the beautiful 13 x 5 metre swimming pool. Overall the cave is decorated in a traditional, rustic Spanish style and has all the amenities you could want for a great holiday. It has a large lounge, two double bedrooms, a spacious kitchen and a modern bathroom with bath and shower.
In the summer you can relax poolside whilst in the winter you can toast marshmallows in front of the fabulous wood burning stove. Being located near to the A92 motorway, which links the southern and eastern coasts of the country, means you have easy access to the area's airports, beaches and attractions. The nearest airport is Granada, an hour away, and the easiest airport for access as it is also alongside the A92 motorway. Almeria and Murcia airports are also accessible, either being approximately an hour and a half drive from the cave. Almeria is also close to the A92 whilst Murcia is a little more difficult to get to, but many of our guests have landed there. Alicante airport is also alongside the A92 but is the furthest from us at about two and a half hours.
Pulpite is a small farming community located at about 1000 meters above sea level amidst glorious mountains in Andalucia, southern Spain. For those that love a high energy holiday there's horse riding, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, sailing, carting, paragliding and hang gliding all available within 40 minutes. Further afield you can try scuba diving, skiing, snorkeling, quad biking or even driving a tank! Of course the main sport associated with Spain is golf. There are several great courses located between 45 and 75 minutes away. You can rent Cuevas Para Amigos for only 125 Euros per person per week (under 16's 60 Euros per child per week) all year round.
