This beautiful luxurious Spanish style house named Albacore, is three years old on one-third of an acre right on Playa Hermosa, rated as one of the top five beaches for all of Costa Rica.
We have spacious rooms with a King and two double beds in two bedrooms and a combo couch/double bed in the third bedroom/den. Albacore has two full bathrooms. The large kitchen is fully stocked with every amenity. Washer, Dryer, Disposal, Dishwasher, the works!
Your feet hug Brazilian tile throughout the house. All 1900 square inches are Air-Conditioned. A safe is included for your added security.
Hermosa is a World famous Surfing beach for it's consistent and excellent waves. Our smoke-free home is also a five-minute drive or just two short miles south of Jaco, the country's most popular beach town. We have an elevated deck with a 360% view of the five mile beach to the west and jungle and mountains to the east.
A newly completed full size pool shimmers before you as you look out to the ocean. And what an ocean it is. Imagine a beach as far as you can see with no crowds. In fact, you might walk for two or three miles and not spy a soul.
While walking on the pristine charcoal sands, stop to see a line of 30 pelicans skimming the waves. Dip in the 75-degree water to feel refreshed by the nutrients from the volcanic sand. If surfing or boogie boarding are your passions, you have found your home.
Camp out on the deck to see and hear the amazing array of tropical bird life that will most certainly soar by. Wait a little longer to view Sunsets that alone make the trip worthwhile.

Manuel Antonio, one of the country's most popular National Parks, is just a one hour drive South. World class deep sea fishing is 15 minutes away at the stunning Los Suenos Marina. Other local activities include zip lines through the jungle canopies, bird and butterfly watching, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, white river rafting and especially deep sea fishing.
Our house is Handicap friendly with wide entrances and singular levels. Part or Full time maid and cooking services are also available. There's even fishermen who come almost everyday with freshly caught fish such as shrimp and lobster tail at unbelievable prices. We paid 10 dollars for seven lobster tails.
Costa Rica has more biodiversity both on land and in the sea than any other country in the world. Despite this, our favorite quality of Costa Rica are its people themselves. They truly display their famous saying 'Pura Vida' which means rich or pure life.
If you come and stay at Albacore, you will take back a little bit of Costa Rica with you. The attitude of 'Pura Vida' which is the joy of living.

"Hi Paul and Pamela: Jon and I are home and very happy to have gotten to know Costa Rica a little. We never rest much when we're on vacation so we tried to do as much as possible. We left our commments and tips in your guest book so you can check that out when you get down there in a few days. Your house is wonderful. We were very comfortable. We lacked nothing. Jon had not seen the pictures of your place and was blown away with the setting and the house. He kept saying, "This is a resort, a private resort." Of the six days at your house we really only "chilled" (swam, beach walks, read - what most people do on vacation) at the house a couple of days as we wanted to see as much as possible. We drove down to Manuel Antonio one day, leaving at 6:45 AM, getting home nearly at dark. We explored the coast coming back. Locally, we went up to Pura Vida Gardens, Parque National Carara, The Areal Tramway, checked out Villa Caseta and Los Suenos and Sea Kayaked out of Hotel Club del Mar. We also drove up to the Arenal Volcano, spending one night in Tabacon. We made it a loop trip, driving up through Palmares and then driving back around the Lake and through Canas and to the InterAmerican Hwy. (it isn't the Italian Autosrada). The Volcano was awsome, rumbling and smoking, saw rocks avalanching down the montain. If we had more time in Costa Rica, we would have stay another night. The drive was arduous, but we got a fuller view and feel of the county seeing the non-tourist towns (clean and well kept compared to Jaco). We were glad to be back to Playa Hermosa. Teri was great. We got to know Isreal, the night watchman. Very sweet guy who is really attached to the land. Your new BBQ is great. We had a great time and look forward to returning. Take care and Happy New Year.
