 "We just spent a wonderful week at Wally's. The cabin is beautiful and big! It is so wooded and surrounded by mountain peaks that you will sleep late into the morning because very little light gets through! It is peacful and relaxing. The dog's loved it! It is situated high above a well used road so the dogs cannot go unleashed there, but they will love the river and hiking trails all around the area. Visit the store "Love Dogs and Cats too" while staying. If you bring your pets to Danielle's Great Eats' outside dining area, they will get water bowls and dog treats. The ice cream parlor 'Sweet Treats' has soft serve Frosty Paws with crushed up dog treats in it! This is a very dog friendly town! "We've returned after spending a wonderful weekend at Wally's Wonderland, with good friends and their four legged family members. We enjoyed walking around the town of Blue Ridge, sampling (& buying homemade goat cheese from 'Out of the Blue' s-- a must patronize store stop!), cooking in, drinking red wine, playing pool, sleeping in, and drinking far too much coffee. "SO I get up on the day we leave after a week's stay. It's about 55 degrees and I ease into the hot tub for one last soak thinking I just don't want to leave. You won't want to leave either. The cabin is secluded, roomy, and beautiful. The area is central to most of the cool things mountains have to offer. The owner is responsive and understands customer service. Contact Laura, set a date, pack a little, buy some food, get the dog's water bowl, and make the drive to Wally's. DO it now. "From the moment we arrived at Wally's, we felt comfortable in the rustic yet modern feel of the cabin. We've been to a lot of cabins, but the efforts of Laura to provide us with amenities unsupassed make this one nicer than the others. We went to have a relaxing and memorable Christmas. The day after Christmas we took a scenic drive through a cove in the nearby town of Dial and saw snow on the mountaintops of the higher elevations.  "What an absolutely perfect cabin! We spent eight wonderful nights at Wally's Wonderland, which was by far the best cabin in which we've ever stayed. The hot tub is great -- so peaceful and quiet and private on the back patio. The pool table was fun -- I almost won one game! The kitchen was a delight (we love to cook!) -- expansive counter space, great gas cooktop. There is a great selection of DVD's -- something for everyone! The road leading to the cabin is easy to travel - not real steep and was well maintained. The wireless internet works great! This cabin is definitely a 10 and Laura was very easy to work with, promptly answering e-mails and questions. "We stayed at Wally’s Wonderland for only two nights but would have liked to stay longer. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The very large DVD library and the downstairs pool table were so much fun. The hot tub was a great way to relax. We had most of our meals in the cabin and everything we needed was available. "Our family had a great week at this spacious… beautiful… private cabin. Everything was comfortable and well appointed. We especially enjoyed the pool table and hot tub in the evenings. Our dog Byron enjoyed floating down the Toccoa in a raft that we rented from Herman at the Toccoa Valley Campground... only 3 miles up the river. Our rental transaction was smooth and friendly.  "We loved it - very airy, clean & new, beautiful wood burning stacked stone fireplace (although it was summer so we didn't get to use it), lots of room for everyone (family of 5. Extremely private yet great location for exploring the area. My kids loved the game room. Beds very comfortable - very peaceful at night. "This cabin is a piece of heaven. First it is exactly how I would decorate! If I might be a snob for a moment, it isn't decorated in cheesy mountain decor! Thank you! It is done very tastefully with fine quality furnishings, down to the soap. I appreciate that very much! Then it's setting is just what I wanted, seclusion. I love all the wood and the aroma of a log cabin, as well as the fact that living/working in/around Atlanta I forget what the mountain air smells like -- love that as well! And to hear the river -- just divine! My dog had a blast, my 78 year old mom wants to live there (well so do I except there's such a thing as making a living, but really all I need is an internet connection), and I just barely started to relax when I had to make myself leave.
