We invite you to be our guest at Sea Mountain #24. Here you will find a beautiful spot on the south shore located conveniently midway between Hilo and Kona. Colony 1 makes a great 'base camp' for your Big Island adventures. Located away from the crowds, traffic and vog of the Kona coast, Punaluu is a hidden gem with great weather all year round.
Our spacious, comfortable one-bedroom condo will give you lots of room to spread out. The bedroom & bathroom are on the 1st level and the living room, full-size kitchen, dining area and lanai are on the 2nd level. This arrangement allows for a quiet, private sleeping area and a bright, airy living room & kitchen with a lovely view from the 2nd floor lanai.
Consider our fully equipped condo your home away from home. The bedroom is downstairs with a king size bed, ceiling fan and even has it's own turtle. The living room is upstairs & has a large wooden vaulted ceiling w/fan. The queen size sofa bed comfortably sleeps two. The fully equipped kitchen (with new stove, sink & countertops) has everything you need to create easy & tasty meals (with recipe books on grilling & cocktails - blender included of course), and coffee grinder & maker (to enjoy your delicious Kona & Kau coffee). The dining room seats four and the lanai has a table with two chairs as well as two chaise lounges. All have views of the ocean. We also have games and a DVD/VCR player with a video library for your viewing enjoyment.

Sue was a great communicator and sent us all the information in an easily digestible manner. Her place was a wonderful getaway with a beautiful view of the ocean over the golf course as shown in the pictures. She also provided great information about visiting the different sights on the island as well as books/resources that we were able to use. Would highly recommend her place if you're looking to 'get away from it all'!

We had a FANTASTIC time at your home! - haven't yet stopped looking at our holiday pictures.
This was the first time we have rented a condo in this manner, and I have to said everything from searching the internet site, to communicating with you via email, to paying via paypal, and finding your home so complete, cozy, inviting inside and out made our holiday great. Your home was exactly as the internet pictures presented it to be and your location in the complex was spectacular - morning coffee on the balcony, watching the ocean waves and palm trees sway, and listening to the numerous birds was paradise. We thought we received excellent value for money spent. The layout of your home was very comfortable and homey. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many extras - completely stocked kitchen and bathroom, books and maps to help us plan our daily adventures and books and movies to relax with - so thoughtful and kind of you. Loved the hawaii/ turtle decor. What we like most about our stay was your home - it was the perfect location, both on the island and in the colony complex. Private, secluded but close to a variety of adventures in the Volcano Park, eastern tip of the island and south point area. We truly had a wonderful time in Hawaii and your home was the focal point to allow us to enjoy each day so thoroughly. Memories from our time there will be everlasting, always heart-warming and I thank you for sharing your home so graciously.

The process of renting your unit was extremely easy and it was great value. The prior to arrival email provided us with the right amount of detail and directions to shopping and then on the unit. We enjoyed the book you put together about the sites on the island and used it to make decisions about what to see. The unit was exactly as described and shown on the website, inside and out. The view was wonderful and the complex is very quiet and relaxing.
