"We consider the Sea Otter House to be a very fine discovery. Pacific Grove feels like our second home and Sea Otters are always in our hearts. Support Friends of the Sea Otters and the Monterey Bay Aquarium! And, if you need more excitement, drive south on Hwy 1 just beyond Nepenthe. That's where the California Condors soar. We stopped the car and watched three fly over our heads and turned in time to watch a pod of gray whales heading north with their calves. The Monarch Butterflies were still present at the sanctuary, although they, too, are heading north. Four days is all we can spare this trip, and we hope to return in the fall. "What a delightful time we had at Sea Otter House. The personal note, sparkling cider and presentation of the hors d'oeuvre made us feel welcomed. The house was both clean and inviting. "We had a lovely family vacation over Christmas here in Pacific Grove. The California Coast is spectacular. A highlight was our kayaking excursion to the kelp forest. We did see sea otters and other sea creatures. Monterey Bay Kayaks provided kind tips. Big Sur and the coastline through Carmel was quite picturesque. Of course, the Aquarium provides quite a wonderful mix of sea life-we appreciated the Aquarium tickets. Being at Sea Otter House made our time here so very enjoyable. "June 6 , 2010 We had a lovely stay. We used the Aquarium passes for us and the kids - thank you! My daughter loved looking at all the sea otters and cats included in the decor. I loved the downstairs bedroom and all the amazing books, the kitchen and the Hot Tub. It felt like staying at a friend's house, very comfortable with everything you need right here. We used the kitchen a lot and it has everything (you need). We would love to come back. Everyone we spoke to before we rented and met when we arrived to get the keys were so nice and friendly.
