"My husband and I loved our "Great Escape". I rode horses, he golfed and we both enjoyed the wonderful food in the area. The people were friendly and the walks on the beach were amazing! The sun hits the top balcony this time of year and it was warm and pleasant. The villa is cozy and quiet they are situated as to afford privacy and a breathtaking view of the marsh behind. I watched my husband play a few holes of golf which are visible from the villa front deck. The beds are comfortable and the other rooms inviting. "Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your home. Sadly, we are currently on our way home now and are sad to leave such a peaceful destination. Our children had such a good time. My son caught a 36 inch shark and my husband caught a 30 lb stingray. Each of the girls also caught something during our fishing trip and all was right with the world! We loved the area. The house provided everything we needed and we so enjoyed our time there. It just ended too soon. We did have the most wonderful vacation I have had with the children - ever! "What a terrific time we had at 'Our Great Escape'!! It is absolutely wonderful! The villa is beautifully decorated (much nicer than 'home' for us!), and it was so clean and inviting. You must have done some REAL finagling to get the weather perfect, too?!? We enjoyed meeting so many of your neighbors and others visiting the island. The wildlife was in rare form - we saw porpoises (including babies!), sharks, stingrays, raccoons, opposums, deer, snakes, frogs, alligators, whipporwills, egrets, herons, gulls, crabs, and so much more....The pool and the ocean were both warm enough to really enjoy, but cool enough to refresh. We enjoyed eating out and cooking in. I don't know how we could have asked for more! Please share with your family our thanks for sharing your beautiful 'Escape' with us. "Dear Elizabeth, The house was lovely and the best stocked I've ever seen...you thought of everything. I brought a lot of stuff I didn't need that I usually need at rentals. We had a great time relaxing even though it was probably the hottest week of the year. We usually vacation further up the coast in North Carolina, but I enjoyed being close to Charleston. "Hi we are heading home after a delightful Thanksgiving at the beach. It was fun being next door to Kelly and family. We had brunch at their house and dinner one night at our lovely home. It was all so convenient. Another set of friends stayed down the street. We didn't lack for food,fun,and laughter. I love your cozy home . The colors are so welcoming. "We thoroughly enjoyed "Our Great Escape" and hope that you find everything in order. We have rented before on Seabrook so on the return trip I made a list of things that we especially liked about 912 Sealoft: 1) invitingly well- decorated 2) Cable in each bedroom was a huge plus and the kids really enjoyed it 3) the DVD/video library 4) the deck from the porch is absolutely gorgeous, also we liked the proximity to the Sealoft pool and the boardwalk at the end of the road---with far fewer spiders than the Oyster Catch boardwalk. 5) Lots and lots of deer and wildlife. 6)The rec room at the club is now an expanded fitness center--a great improvement. 7) Also, we discovered that a group of bottlenose dolphins feed each low tide in the river between Kiawah and Seabrook. They also partially come out of the water...a naturalist there told us that it is one of only two places in the world where bottlenose doplins do this. It was incredible to see. Thanks so much! "We loved the place! The island and the villa. We had great weather and a wonderful time. We thought the house was perfect! We went into Charleston one day, and the rest of the time we spent on the island. Each morning Susan and I walked on the beach- then I swam laps in the pool! Later in the evening I rode your bikes and went running- a perfect vacation! Next year I hope to take my road bike with me (see what Susan says about that) The kids had a good time- they hung out on the beach or the pool! They even enjoyed the cable TV (we do not have it at home- so it was a treat for them). It was a true perfect week! We hope to do it again next year! Thank you for being so organized. "We had a wonderful time! Your home on Seabrook is beautiful and comfortable and we had a relaxing week. "Yes, it was wonderful! It is really hard to leave that place, especially when the weather is absolutely perfect! We enjoyed our time with our kids, family and friends. I even had a few days by myself, which ofcourse I loved. Your home is perfect, with ever convenience you can imagine. I am a cook and had everything I needed to prepare our meals just like at home.
