This bi-level home has the perfect floorplan for a family vacation or romantic get-away for two: you can use both floors or the main floor only. Relax in the master bedroom suite, with its 4 poster queen-size bed and walk-in closet. The attached bath has a jacuzzi tub, large double vanity, and walk-in shower. The master bedroom looks out at the Olympics, and has its own entrance to the wrap-around deck.
The second mainfloor bedroom is perfect for kids. It has 2 twin beds, plus a day bed with pop-up trundle, and can sleep 4 comfortably. A full bath is right around the corner.
The daylight basement has a large bedroom, a TV/game room, and bathroom-- the perfect space for teen-agers or a second couple. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and the full bath features a 6 foot soaking tub and shower. The TV room has a queen-size sleeper sofa, a flat-screen TV, game cabinet and game table, and opens onto the outside patio.
On the main floor, enjoy the views from the open dining/living room. It has a high vaulted ceiling, a wood-burning fireplace, and floor to ceiling windows. The dining room opens to the wrap-around deck, which has patio furniture and tables for outdoor meals.
The house is located at the end of a private paved road on 2 acres. There is very little traffic, no noise, and lots of privacy. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leash at all times, since the property is not fenced.
Get away from it all, yet have all the comforts and conveniences of home: 2 TV's with satellite service; wireless high-speed internet access; DVD player & DVD's; central heat/air; stereo w/CD player & CD's; gas BBQ grill; wood-burning fireplace; washer & dryer. The kitchen has two stoves, a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. It's fully stocked with pots, pans and utensils, dishes, dish towels and all paper supplies.
All linens and towels, including beach towels, are included. The only thing missing is a telephone, so be sure to bring your cell phone.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on leash at all times, and be approved by owner: a $50 pet fee applies.
The Port Ludlow Resort is nearby. There you will find a marina with kayaking, boating and a small grocery store; 3 9-hole championship golf courses; several hiking trails and a restaurant at the Inn.
The house is just minutes from Highway 104 and the Hood Canal Bridge, which makes it a perfect location for day trips in every direction. Head north to explore historic Port Townsend or south to tour the Navy ships at Bremerton, both less than 45 minutes away.
Head east to Seattle for the day--it's only an hour and half drive/ferry boat ride away. The Bainbridge Island ferry takes you to downtown Seattle, where you can catch a Mariner's or Sea Hawks game, shop at Pike Place Market, visit the Seattle Aquarium, and lots, lots more.
If you want to stay closer to home, you are only minutes from two state beaches on Hood Canal. Historic Port Gamble, with its Sunday market, antique stores and museums, is only 3 miles away.
Or, don't drive anywhere: just step out the door and take a stroll down the mile-long private road through the woods, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country.
