I'm sorry that our vacation is coming to an end and we have to go back to regular life. Ug! We have baked ourselves on the beaches, fed lots of shrimp to the fish off the Pier (some people call it fishing but I just call it what it is. We walked all over this beautiful island. Fort Pulaski was great by the way, especially the musket demonstration. another highlight was feeding the alligators at the Crab Shack. Too many highlights to list them all actually. "MY ISLAND COTTAGE This is our first visit to Tybee Island. I love it. Great place to stay. Enough room for all of us. A full house! We built a new church this year. My dad is the Outreach pastor. We have all worked very hard this year.We had our first service Aug 19 in our church. Fairview Baptist Worship Center Cleveland TN God has really blessed us. So dad, Gary Stinnett, thought it would be nice to get away. He picked a great place. "My Island Cottage just wanted to check in with you and say thank you and say that the house was perfect and everything went really well. we had a great time, great enough that it was rather difficult to get back on the plane and come back here to new york. it was also amazing, but we were looking in the guest book the day we got there and realized that we had known the people who had just left that morning, the christmans who had stayed the week there for christmas. my dad works with pete at the art college and me and india, one of his daughters, were friends for a number of years. pete had even been bragging to my father about how great a house they had been staying at. i guess they had quite a few more people represented than we did though with our smaller reunion. it was a trip that i will remember fondly for a long time and i will certainly recommend you folks and tybee for anyone that is looking for a lowkey little getaway. thanks again. ethan" - Ethan Fischer, Byron, GA, 01/10/07

"MY ISLAND COTTAGE The Blumer family really enjoyed our visit, Unfortunately, Moses, the dog only got to go swimming once as there is nowhere for a sweet Golden Retriever to do the doggie paddle. It would have mad the trip more memorable. We loved the house and enjoyed having plenty of room. We wish the restaurants were more varied but this Jersey Girl enjoyed Vinnie's Pizza. "MY ISLAND COTTAGE Girl Scout Troop 2182 was here! Our six junior scouts from acworth, GA loved the house! It is so fun and charming. Oh yes, the four chaperones loved it too. This is what we did: Day one Travel Day. walked to the beach Day Two To Tybee Lighthouse, marine science center and beach. The Lighthouse and Marine Center were both great. Sally our GS lifeguard was terriic. Day Three Carriage ride in Savannah and walked around. fun but hot. Dinner at The Crab Shack. Great place. Day Four Juliette Low House Tour and Rainy Day program. The girls said it was better than expected. Dinner at the Pirate House. We had been hearing bad reviews but we liked it and the scouts enjoyed the ghost stories and letting their imaginations run wild. One last walk on the beach. "MY ISLAND COTTAGE My Island Cottage is awesome according to Troop 21128 from Lawrenceville, ga. From the time we pulled up the girls loved the decor and especially the foosball table. Sleeping arrangement were perfect. Tybee was fabulous and the food outstanding. Thanks so much. The girls experienced a "pirate adventure" on the beach, Capt Mile's dolphin cruidse, Juliette Gordon Low's hous in Savanah and the Marine Science Center. What an action packed three days.
