Thnak you for your kindness towards us and our friends in our moment of crisis. Till next year! Roger and Reem Vega " - Reem N., Burbank, Ca, 01/23/2012 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"5-Star weekend at Mocha Bear Cabin. Excellent value in a cozy new cabin with much attention to detail. Location is also excellent. We will be back! Charles Antis, Irvine " - Charles A., Irvine, CA, 01/16/2012 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"Our family had a great time at your condo. The place is well equiped with all the latest amenities. The place is cozy yet comfortable to share between 2 small families or one large one. The back yard is amazing and our kids had a great time sleding and playing in the snow. We will definitely be back." - Walter M., Chula vista, ca, 01/09/2012 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"Your place is fabulous. Great home, great location, great ... everything. Had a fabulous time. Loved the freshly fallen snow, and the temps in the hi 20s and lo 30s were perfect. Couldn't ask for a nicer couple of days. " - Becky B., Mission Viejo, CA, 12/20/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"We had a fantastic Thanksgiving at Mocha Bear. We are looking forward to coming back again in the spring! Thanks for your thoughtfulness and care..." - Ellen H., Harbor City, Ca, 11/27/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

" I wanted to thank you for our very pleasant stay this weekend in your Big Bear home. Your home was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We appreciated all the attention to detail and how it's maintained in great condition. We are very excited to return for New years, and you have gained a customer for a very long time." - Clarissa G., , 11/22/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"Mocha Bear greatly exceeded our highest expectations. Every possible comfort and convenience was provided, from mixers in the totally stocked kitchen, to tissues and shampoo in the bathrooms. And the cabin itself is very attractive and of the highest quality. We were amazed. We ate most of our meals on the back deck overlooking the beautiful view of the adjacent national forest, and traveled short distances to the many interesting attractions of the city. We especially liked the chair lift ride and the Princess boat cruise of the lake. We heartily recommend, without reservation, this beautiful cabin for an unforgettable experience at Big Bear Lake. Ed and Susan Carrigan" - Ed C., Carlsbad, CA, 08/08/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"Eric - I love that your place has a garage. I picture myself driving up in a snowstorm to arrive with a plowed driveway, scooting inside with my belongings, and unpacking in total comfort. My favorite feature is the National Forest you conveniently located in your backyard. I walked to the little stream running a few hundred yards before it disappeared underground and had a meditative connection with gurgling water. Sitting on the porch in late afternoon with a cocktail was marvelous. The openness and light turning the pine needles a shimmering silver is still a fond memory. The more obvious positives are the decor, the building designed in such an efficient way on a small lot, and the sharp condition of everything. You provide your guests with a feeling of luxury. It is obvious you take pride in making yourselves and your guests comfortable. Improvements/suggestions: install an airtight woodburning stove for those winter electrical outages when the forced air won't function and the temps are low and the roads covered with ice. Question: was the master suite located on the street side to accomodate mechanical design requirements? The balcony is great, even though we only walked out there for a couple of minutes to gaze. A balcony on the bedroom over the kitchen would limit the light downstairs and reduce the outdoor view. If you ever consider selling, please let me know. Thank you for renting to us! We had a very memorable time with our granddaughters at Mocha Bear and would like to repeat the experience. I could write more comments, but I think you get the basic idea - exceptional mountain home! - Mike B " - Mike B., , 07/12/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"What a great spot. The perfect blend of convenience and solitude for our family. The skiing and sledding were great, but the National Forest right out the back door makes this place really special. Very comfortable, too. We hope to be back!" - Matt L., Los Angeles, CA, 04/09/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"The Cabin was WONDERFUL! My husband and I took my 8 year old son and my mother-in-law for a fun filled snow week! We make a point of going every year but this is the first time we used VRBO. The owners were terrific, even though we did not need anything, they sent an email to check and make sure everything was ok and to let them know if there was anything we needed! All the ameneties were as much or more than we expected! It was beautiful. We used the garage, which is an added plus! The location is very close to skiing, although we don't ski. There was lots of snow so we played in the back a lot. We BBQ'd in the snow too!We look forward to our next trip to Big Bear and if Mocha Bear is availalbe, that's going to be our first choice. Thanks Anne and Eric for being so attentive and providing a wonderful space to enjoy our time as a family!" - Owner Submitted Review, , 03/19/2011 (HomeAway Review)

Thank you so much for the kind words. We look forward to your return.

"Mocha Bear Cabin was the perfect place for our family snow trip! The kids loved sledding in the backyard and down the street in front, and the location couldn't have been better - close to the slopes, shops and restaurants. Everything in the cabin was in perfect condition and Eric was great to work with. Highly recommend Mocha Bear to anyone!" - Ryan D., San Diego, CA, 02/27/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"We were very much looking forward to our stay in Big Bear. We have come each year for the past four years. We had used Big Bear Vacations.com as our source for a rental in the past so VRBO was new to us and we were a bit hesitant. From the beginning, this was a very smooth transaction and there were no hassels with checking in, you made it very easy and hassle free. Using the garage is an added bonus that we really appreciated. The cabin is beautiful and it is obvious that much thought and consideration went into your decorating and furnishing. There was nothing that we needed that wasn't there. My family thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We even BBQ'd in the snow! The back of the house facing the forest gave us an opportunity to see a pack of coyotes off in the distance, just beautiful. I am a techy so I appreciated the internet accessibility as well. Thanks for providing such a nice space for us to enjoy our family time together. We will definitely be back as return visitors and would recomend it to our friends/family. Thanks for everything! The A family " - Rhonda A., Rancho Paolos Verdes,CA, 02/25/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"We had a great stay at Mocha Bear from January 7-9, 2011. The cabin is beautiful and although not a large cabin, it is very cozy and accomodates 6 people very well. It is close to Bear Mountain or you can take a shuttle from Bear Mountain to Snow Summit if you prefer. Thank you Eric and Anne!" - HanfromSD, , 01/19/2011 (HomeAway Review)

Thank you and we look forward to your future stay.

"wonderful house! The owners obviously paid attention to great detail in preparing the house for rental. It is well stocked - almost felt like being in my own home. Kitchen has all the neccesities, bedrooms had plent of extra blankets, pillows, towels, etc... The best part is the back yard which is the national forest. We were able to go sledding right in the back!! Would defiitely consider coming back again! Thanks!" - Showshan Y., Module 3100,Be, 01/17/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"We had such a wonderful time at your beautiful cabin! The kids loved having their own bedrooms. Your attention to detail is evident throughout. My husband and I both felt that it was the epitome of what you want with a mountain cabin -well appointed but retaining the "cabin" feel. We look forward to another winter visit, but are already discussing a spring or summer stay. Staying at a hotel just wouldn't compare! Thanks, Tom and Linda Rowley " - Linda J., Chula Vista, CA, 01/07/2011 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"Hi Eric - We had a great time and you have a beautiful cabin. We can't wait until next year, thank you!" - Shant B., La Crescenta, Ca, 12/20/2010 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"We spent the Thanksgiving holiday at Mocha Bear this year. There were 6 adults and two kids. The cabin was perfect! It is the perfect balance between updated and modern and outdoor cabin. There is lots of wood but also it is clean and nice. The bathrooms and kitchen are well stocked and very clean. We got more than we had hoped for! We'll be back for sure!!!!!" - Julie, , 11/29/2010 (HomeAway Review)

"My husband I stayed at Mocha Bear Cabin from August 6 - 15, 2010. The cabin is the most luxurious rental we have ever been in. The cabin in new, constructed just last year so it is inviting, clean and you'll feel right at home. The thoughtful owners have stocked the cabin with first class amenities such as flat screen TVs in the family room and all three bedrooms, any kitchen appliance you may need to cook anything from a simple barbecue to a gourmet meal put together on the granite counter tops. All the major appliances are stainless steel. The cabin has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs and a ½ bath downstairs. All are comfortable, roomy and can easily accommodate six people. There is also a one car garage to hold not only the car, but golf clubs, bikes and any hiking gear. The forest is just out the back door off the deck. The deck has two tables and an umbrella for afternoon shade. It's the perfect place to have breakfast and read the morning paper. We had the LA Times delivered to the cabin and read the other newspaper on the free wireless internet. Watching all the birds, squirrels and chipmunks eating their breakfast with us just enhanced the experience. The cabin is located one block from the 9 hole Big Bear Golf course. It is beautiful with lush greenery and views of the mountains. The course is fun and some holes can be challenging. Rates are good, especially after 3:00 pm. We golfed two - three times a week and next year we will buy the pass. Definitely a more economical way to go. The Village is just 15 minutes away. The Village has Equata Yoga with classes for all levels everyday. I went to yoga 3 times per week. Each class is $12 or packages are available. In addition, the Copper Kettle offers cooking demonstrations on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Pastry Chef is great. The chocolate bread pudding was to die for. The Village has many really good restaurants. We tried them all and of course have our favorites. Top of the list is Peppercorn followed by Saucy Mamas Pizza, Boo Bears (great breakfast and cinnamon rolls) and a new one Himalaya. Not far from the Village are Sweet Basil, Pongs, Thelmas (know for its chicken pot pie) and El Pollo Loco. If grilling is your thing, the cabin has a propane grill and two grocery stores are five minutes away, Vons and Stater Bros. If you'd rather catch your own, the fishing is good with trout the major catch. The lake is 15 minutes away. We took the $18 per person, 1 ½ hour, Miss Liberty tour of the lake. Items of interest are the homes of celebrities in both Big Bear and Fawnskin, the history of the lake, the solar observatory and the humorous antecedents by the commentator. Also available are boat and jet ski rentals along with the public swim beach with life guards. We would recommend Mocha Bear Cabin to anyone renting if just for the weekend or for an extended time period. Eric is helpful, cares about your comfort and is really interested in making sure the cabin suits your needs so you can have a great time in Big Bear. "This cabin was perfect, near everything, cozy and with everything we could need in our stay, it exceeded our expectations. Definitely will recommended and stay there again. Thank you to the owners for the care to detail and honesty through all the process. We and our friends had tons of fun during our weekend in Big Bear. Thanks Eric and Ann." - Owner Submitted Review, , 03/10/2010 (HomeAway Review)

We worked hard to deliver the cabin experience that is clean, cozy and modern. This is our second home in the mountains and you should always consider it yours. You are always welcome so when you want to get away, get away to Mocha Bear Cabin.

"We loved the cabin! From the pictures the cabin looked nice but in it turned out to be even better than our expectations. The layout was perfect. We are kind of picky on where we stay and we all agreed that this was a thumbs up! Modern, clean and cozy. It was so close to Bear Mtn and it made it easy to get to the slopes quickly in the morning. Thank you for the gift bag. It was very thoughtful and we used everything that was in it. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for making our weekend great. ""The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed for a very memorable winter vacation with our boys. We hope to return sometime soon. "" - Owner Submitted Review, , 02/15/2010 (HomeAway Review)

"Wow! This was the most amazing trip ever. It was the first time that I got to see snow and I couldn't have had more fun. The cabin was perfect with an adorable kitchen just right for making hot coco to warm us up from the snow. The rooms were comfortable and the heated blanket was just right after a long day of sledding. The location was secluded enough to be private but not far enough to prevent visiting town and getting supplies. I can't wait to go again!!" - Owner Submitted Review, , 02/15/2010 (HomeAway Review)

"We loved the cabin and will definitely will return. Thank you very much for offering for rent such a wonderful, warm cabin." - Carla L., Corona, CA, 02/15/2010 (VRconnection Guest Feedback)

"My stay at this cabin was wonderful. I couldn't have enjoyed it more. The view from the patio was nothing but trees and snow and was very serene. We got to go explore in the snow and and sled down the hill. The location is secluded enough from major traffic but still close enough to town that we were able to refresh our supplies. The rooms are very cozy and the beds are perfect to curl up into after a long day of sledding. I can't wait to go back!" - Owner Submitted Review, , 02/07/2010 (HomeAway Review)

"Dear Eric and Anne,We loved your cabin and were pleasantly surprised how well it was equipped (from the heating blankets that came in SO handy, to an iPod docking station that allowed us enjoy our own music, to the TV/DVD-in-one in each room, etc.). We appreciated how new and cozy it was and the fact that you guys thought of every potential need we could've had, made our stay that much more comfortable and enjoyable. Also, thank you so much for the lovely welcome bag you left us. That was very thoughtful and kind of you. We'll definitely be back and will also recommend your cabin to friends and family in the future. Anahit & Family" - Owner Submitted Review, , 01/08/2010 (HomeAway Review)

"Anne and Eric, I know Cynthia already let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. Everything about it really worked out well from the well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, to the amazing forest back yard (the perfect weather didn’t hurt either). Your emails and instructions in the cabin were all timely, clear and very useful. Your hospitality showed in all of the thoughtful details like the little supplies in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry. We know that you clearly put a lot of thought and time into the details" - Owner Submitted Review, , 01/08/2010 (HomeAway Review)

"We had a wonderful, no hassle, no frazzle weekend. Enjoyed the little wild beasties (birds & squirrels) and named several of them. The cabin is chock full of first class amenities so we felt quite pampered while still "roughing it" city slicker style. Can't wait for another visit!" - Charles & Peggy Perez, Irvine, CA, 12/07/09( HomeAwayConnect Guestbook Entry)

"We spent a very enoyable, "no pressure", "no appointments to keep" weekend at the cabin. Amenities rival those of any 5 star hotel and the peace and quiet is overwhelming. Hoping to revisit soon." - Chuck&Peg, , 12/07/2009 (HomeAway Review)
