Luxury In Town Durango, Large New Studio

0 bed, 1 bath Durango apartment sleeps 2-6

"Stayed with my 2 daughters and wife August 2015, everything that we needed was there.. TV, Wi-Fi, Refrigerator, Washer/Dryer, King size bed with a nice queen inflatable mattress... you can tell a good amount of thought has been put into what one might need as all the smaller things were there as well. The rental is not downtown but it only took us about 4 min to drive to downtown Durango.. if you walked it I would say it is no more than 2 miles away. The rental does not have central A/C and it took me a bit to notice the portable A/C in the corner. Once we had it on for about 24 hours we had no issues with the temperature of the room. The only recommendation I can make is to perhaps have someone turn on the A/C unit the day someone is coming into town. We arrived st our check-in time and the temp in the room was 80 and so we ran the A/C several hours... by 9 PM is was finally down to 76 in the room. We left it running the duration of our stay and didn't have a problem after that as the room temp stayed a constant 74 degrees. All in all, I'd most certainly recommend this place to anyone and this will be our 1st choice when we return to Durango next year " - Ryan R., Allen, TX, 08/22/2015 (inquire/book)

"We Loved this rental! It was clean, spacious, well-kept and well stocked! The location was great for going into Downtown Durango or heading up to the slopes for the day. We loved being there over Christmas and the heated floors made such a difference - it kpet us all warm and cozy all week! We rented the studio along with the main house and it was plenty of room for our group of 14 - there were beds to spare! We even put up a Christmas tree and still had plenty of space to socialize in the evenings. I highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed! " - Whitney L., Albuquerque, NM, 12/27/2014 (inquire/book)

"This was the first time we EVER rented anything other than a hotel on vacation. We did it (June 2013) through a recommendation from a friend who uses VRconnection and had rented properties from Daniel before. This large studio apartment was one of several that I was considering, but decided to go for this property because it looked updated, open, clean, and fresh. Well, it truly lived up to ALL of our expectations and we think it will honestly be difficult not to compare other places to this one when we do this again. My husband and I said on MANY occasions during our stay here that we could live there...and it was just a studio! The job these owners did on this studio apartment was top notch. Furnishings are brand new, fixtures are modern, wooden floors are stunning, wall to wall windows (with the PERFECT window shades for privacy), and while it may be attached to the main large home and over the double car garage, you would NEVER know it when inside. It's SO SPACIOUS. If you are reading this and are contemplating renting this place, don't hesitate. I guarantee, you will be glad you did it. I'd also like to add that I have a severe allergy to aloe vera and Daniel so graciously made sure that the bedding and soaps would not contain aloe vera during our stay. I really thought he went above and beyond by impressing us with always quickly responding to our questions, making restaurant and activity recommendations, and truly providing a place to stay that looked exactly like the photos on this site. My only recommendations to make this better: When pulling up, it's a little confusing which side of the driveway the studio guests are supposed to park on and which side the main house guests are supposed to park on (even though the rental instructions specified, the main house guests weren't parking on the correct side, so we had to park on whichever side was left open..which was fine.) Maybe a small sign above the garage could say "MH" (main house) and "GH" (guest house) or something?? Not sure. The other thing is that when guests staying in the main house smoke on the patio in the back of the house, all of their cigarette smoke drifts into the windows of the studio apartment. I'm not sure how you can fix this. We just closed all of the windows, but it would have been nice to smell the fresh Colorado air. THANK YOU for the excellent stay, we will DEFINITELY rent this property again when we return to Durango, CO. Without a doubt. -Albuquerque, NM " - Shannon Z., Albuquerque, NM, 06/03/2013 (inquire/book)

"Loved the space: close to downtown yet far enough away to get good rest. We would stay there again. We rent VRBO in Colorado 3-4 times per year. Comfortable, well-maintained and very spacious." - Stephanie H., 1360 Sioux Street,Lo, 05/27/2013 (inquire/book)

" "The most perfect vacation studio imaginable!" This spacious studio, very functional but elegantly furnished, with all conveniences to make life easy and efficient, met all my expectations. Located in a lovely residential area, very close to major traffic connections (the Red T as well), not far from "old downtown Durango" with its galleries, restaurants, cafes, shops and bars, it provided total easy access to all that might be of interest in that charming town. The property was in perfect condition, the kitchen well equipped, Daniel Vega, the manager, was always available with advice or help. This studio would always be my first choice for staying in Durango, and friends, who saw it, were very impressed as well. "Accurate description - Great location, VERY clean and comfortable. Convenient to riverwalk, downtown and getting to the mountains quickly. Daniel is both communicative and professional so no worries here. Why stay anwhere else? Pat and Loren. " - Patrick D., Orchard Park, NY, 10/02/2012 (inquire/book)

"My husband and I spent three nights in this studio apartment. After staying in a hotel in Santa Fe, we arrived at the Durango studio apartment and found it to be such a pleasant surprise. The studio was as described on VRBO - extremely clean and well maintained. The instructions we received from the owner were very clear and helpful. The location is wonderful for access downtown and to shopping. We enjoyed the nearby City Market to purchase food to prepare at the apartment. We would definitely recommend this apartment and, of course, we hope to rent it again! Very, very comfortable compared to a hotel. What a treat! The Phillips Denton, Texas " - Bennie &., Denton, TX, 09/06/2012 (inquire/book)

"A much nicer place than a hotel. Great location. We saw deer roaming in the yard. The studio apartment was great. Nicely decorated. We could live there! Will definitely try to stay here again." - Karen G., Dallas, TX, 08/30/2012 (inquire/book)

"Ed and I would like to thank you for allowing us to use your rental, it was perfect! We were just 5 minutes from our daughter and granddaughter. The studio was very spacious, clean, nicely designed, decorated and equipped. The windows are great and really show all the views, and we did not have to use the air conditioner. We were able to cook and take full advantage of the wonderful kitchen. We were extra pleased with the hot tub. We have a hot tub and are used to using it every night so it was really nice to be able to use it for the evening wind down. We had a very nice visit and look forward to our next. If it is available for our future trips we will definitely like to use it again. If I could make any recommendations, it would be nice to have a couple of pyrex dishes for cooking (9x13 and 8x8) also a few glass mixing bowls in different sizes that could also be used for serving or storing, and a dutch oven pot. Just suggestions, we were able to cook what we wanted. We were a little disappointed that we did not get to see a bear, but Ed saw some dear hanging out by the garbage cans! Thank you again so much for the opportunity to use your studio, we will recommend it to friends and family. " - Becky M., Brandon, MS, 04/02/2012 (inquire/book)

"Really loved it there. Loft so clean. Nice linens too. Nice treat to have deer outside my window in the morning. TV and internet worked great. Hope I am able to come back sometime soon. I have already recommended it to another set of grandparents that visit Durango several times a year too. Thanks again. " - Lynne L., Indialantic, Fl, 12/31/2011 (inquire/book)

"Daniel' s place is awesome. Very cute place for a romantic getaway. very nice studio with nice amenities and close to town. stayed there for Ironhorse weekend and was very pleased. thx again " - kent c., 111 camino de las crucitas,sa, 05/28/2011 (inquire/book)

"My wife and I spent four nights at the studio and loved it. The studio is very spacious for two. It was really nice coming back to this house after a hard day of mt biking. We cooked dinner in the great kitchen two nights and ate out the other two. The place is very convenient to downtown Durango. There was a problem with the hot water the first night but it was promptly fixed the next morning; excellent service. There were folks staying in the main house for two of the nights but the layout of the studio is such that we did not hear them at all. It was very peaceful and quiet at night. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend the studio for a couple. For sure, we will be staying there again on our next trip to Durango. " - Dave B., Laguna Niguel, CA, 05/10/2011 (inquire/book)

"We loved it. We've been in Colorado over 15 years and have seen a lot of rental places. This studio has a really smart layout. It feels big and the use of space is great. The furniture is nice, the appliances are new, the countertops are stone. It's about a three minute drive from the main drag. Thanks, Ryan " - Ryan H., Black Hawk, CO, 03/27/2011 (inquire/book)

"We planned a last minute trip to Durango and I found this studio and the owners were very responsive and the rental procedure was very quick and efficient. This studio was a perfect fit. The furnishings and appliances were updated and comfortable! There was plenty of closet space. We had friends staying downtown and it was only a 5 minute drive. There is a supermarket minutes away. The price was totally reasonable and comparable to staying in a hotel. There were guests staying in the attached main house and it was not a problem or distraction at all. The hot tub was perfect after a day on the ski slopes. It was very quick and easy to access 550. The only complaint I have is the bathroom is poorly lit. The lights were very dim and it was a bit difficult to get ready, but I will definitely be staying there again and I would recommend this property. >>>>>>>>> Owner Feedback: <<<<<<<<< We have put dimmers in the bathroom and installed higher wattage bulbs to solve the problem. Now there can be variable lighting, bright for getting ready and dim for late night access. " - Monica L., Albuquerque, NM, 02/06/2011 (inquire/book)

"Okay, awesome. Looks very thorough. And that was very quick/painless --- thank you." - ethery s., san diego, ca, 09/14/2010 (inquire/book)

"Excellent location, 3 blocks from FREE RIDE to Downtown, 7 minutes walk to railroad & riverside pathway. The studio really confortable, Great TV Plasma. all new. A big hot tub downstairs w/ roof. Perfect after sports all day out. Good grill. Deers by night around neighborhood. Dealing w/ the owner easy and pleasant. An incredible week in Durango.THANK YOU. Rosana, Jaime and Gabriel " - Rosa P., , 02/16/2010 (inquire/book)

"Studio 2105 - The best appointed and most comfortable lodging of the nine places we stayed on our month long trip. Much better looking than the rental website photos, it is spacious and airy with a high ceiling and large picture windows and tastefully decorated with newer, better quality furnishings. The modern full size washer and dryer is very convenient, the large walk-in closet leading to the bath has plenty of storage space and the kitchen has modern appliances, a good selection of cooking/eating ware and generous cabinet/counter space. Its location, above a garage and adjacent to a middle school did not detract in any way from our stay. It is close to the town's bus and free trolley stops and the downtown area with its many nice shops and restaurants is about two miles away. Overall, the studio is an 'A' lodging and we would stay there again. It is extremely comfortable for two and would be fine for a family of four or five. " - Charles M., Ravenna, OH, 09/23/2009 (inquire/book)

"Superior in every way. Looks better than the photos which arre great anyways. Brand new. Spotless. Great service. I have recommended it to friends, hope we can still get in! Perfect distance from town. Got away from the tourism, nice walks & drives to explore. We were delightfully pleased & can't wait to come back & try the impending most beautiful hot tub I've ever seen! " - Matilda C., santa Fe, NM, 11/27/2008 (inquire/book)

"I have stayed in this rental two years in a row. This studio is wonderful, very spacious for a studio, in a handy location, immaculate, with everything you could need for a home away from home. " - Jeanne R., Munnsville, NY, 10/13/2008 (inquire/book)

"We had a lovely fall stay here. The studio as quite roomy with high-end decorating and appears newly remodeled. The entrance is very private even though it is part of an attached house. The down stair entrance had a large area to safely store our bikes overnight which we liked. The location is too far north to comfortably walk to downtown Durango but we found many other low-key, inexpensive dining options very close to the house as well as a grocery store 4-5 blocks away. " - Nancy E., Flagstaff, AZ, 09/30/2008 (inquire/book)

"I was wonderful! Very clean, new, and spacious. The bedding was extremely comfortable and it had all of the amenities! The location is pretty ideal. You probably could walk downtown but it would take a while. It was close to trails and wildlife though. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in need of a getaway! " - Melissa S., Denver, CO, 09/26/2008 (inquire/book)

"The studio was wonderful, at the end of our stay we wished that we had booked an extra night just to stay in and spend sometime together enjoying the space. The photo description is accurate, I think that it is even nicer in person. The studio is located in a quiet neighborhood, and is just a few minutes, 2-3, drive into down. The Durango Rec Center is within walking distance and is a beautiful facility. There is a great coffee/bagel shop also within walking distance and is located between a car wash and a car parts store, I believe. When we head back to Durango, we will be renting this studio again. One thing to know, there is no iron or ironing board, we were able to get around that by throwing our clothes into the dryer for a few minutes. All in all, a great rental! " - Beth L., Apt A,Co, 09/14/2008 (inquire/book)

"Daniel - I sent comments on the standard rental form. If you'd like me to add more positive comments, I will - because we really did like your place. As I said on the comment sheet - a little better lighting in the downstairs bathroom and padding on the sofabed in the studio would be nice. But we all loved your place and would definitely return. Carole" - Carol S., surprise, az, 07/18/2008 (inquire/book)

"We were happy to find this place as nice or nicer than it looks in the pictures. It is in a great location and has a great owner who we met in person. We have satayed in two of Daniel's condos and would love to do it again. We give you an A+!" - Stanley R., Keene, TX, 07/08/2008 (inquire/book)
