The weather was perfect and we loved being at Dana Point, which is so close to Laguna Beach but without so many people. Besides the surfing at Dohenny Beach (5 minutes away) and generally relaxing, our favorite was seeing the incredible "Pageant of the Masters" in Laguna. There's nothing like it.
