This 75 sq m ground floor villa comprises of 3 double bedrooms, one with en suite shower room, the other full bathroom has a tub with shower attachment, the 3rd bedroom is reached by a flight of stairs and is suitable for 1 adult or 2 children and very suitable for seniors. The living room has comfortable seating for 5 and dinning table with 6 chairs, there is cable TV with 40 channels, the fully equipped kitchen has a gas stove with oven and 4 burner hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and toaster. The utility room off the inside patio has a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Restaurants and local grocery and butcher shops surround the villa, not to mention the famous Pasteis de Belém, established 1837only 5 minutes walk away.
Community Amenities
The modern 15 tram, with stop outside the villa takes you into the centre of Lisbon, the electric train will take you on the line as far as the beautiful fishing village of Cascais passing wide expanses of sandy beaches and the famous casino of Estoril, plus you have the Belém ferry terminal to take trips across the river under the Lisbon suspension bridge that looks like the golden gate under the watchful gaze of the Christ the King statue on the opposite bank. This bridge provided very easy access from the Algarve and it is one of the plus points of the villa that there is free parking close by, a rare occurrence in the city. This is a truly beautiful setting for your visit to Portugal.
The World Heritage UNESCO site of Jerónimos Monastery built at the beginning of the 16th century dominates the parish. The area also boasts of a couple of world-class museums, the Coach museum and the Maritime museum as well as the planetarium and the Belém cultural centre that host concerts and exhibitions. Look out for the changing of the guard at the royal palace on the 3rd Sunday of every month, coinciding with free concert given by the military band that plays at the gallop - unique in the world.
