"Thank you for the use of your lovely pet-friendly chalet! I spent 6 nights there with my parents and our 2 dogs. Everybody loved the screened porch, no matter what time of day - especially the pooches. The chalet is roomy, well-stocked in the kitchen and gameroom. The hot tub and whirlpool bath were great for relaxing after a day in town or the Park. The drive up the mountain was a little scary the first time, but easier everytime after. "We had an AWESOME stay at Bear Haven over Memorial Day weekend plus a few more days that week. We enjoyed all the luxuries of home plus a few bonuses (i.e. a beautiful mountain view, hot tub, video game systems for the kids). This chalet is in a great location- very close to Dollywood and The Old Mill area. Also convenient to lots of activities and restaurants on "the Parkway". My children (ages 5 & 12) were so impressed with this chalet that when we were out doing "touristy" stuff and got tired, they would ask if we could just go back to the cabin! It was great to have such a wonderful home away from home...with an awesome, fully stocked kitchen. This is definitely an economical option with the low rental fee and the availability to cook all your meals, you can't find a less expensive and convenient vacation option!  "The heating element tore up on the hot tub and maintenance had to come out and fix it. The guy that came out was extremely nice and got the problem fixed. It was beautiful weather for the hot tub in the evening, and when it was broke, it was early in the morning. It was up & running in no time! The children loved the game room and we had lots to do. The view is beautiful! Owners are extra nice! The beds were comfortable and we slept good. We ran low on towels and had to share. Decorations are very cute and kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Something was in the driveway on Friday night, whether it was a bear or what, we couldn't see it w/o going out there. (About 11:00 p.m.). Everything was great and we had a wonderful time! Only suggestion is more towels and wash cloths! Owner's response: Although a bear has recently been seen in our area, I suspect it was a raccoon. They are plentiful in the area. "The cabin is just very comfortable, enjoyed staying here. One recommendation I have is to put a clothes line somewhere. By the time we went to Dollywood Splash Country, used the hot tub and it rained all week, we had lots of wet clothes and no where to hang them out to dry. Also it would be nice if there were mirrors in the bedrooms so you didn't have to wait for the bathrooms to be free when you wanted to brush your hair, put on make up, etc. Owner's response: In September 2005 we added a washer and a dryer. For those who prefer to hang things, we added a few hooks on the end of the deck near the hot tub. We also added full length mirrors to the back of each bedroom door. Thanks for the suggestions.
