This beautiful luxurious Spanish style house named Albacore, is three years old on one-third of an acre right on Playa Hermosa, rated as one of the top five beaches for all of Costa Rica.
We have spacious rooms with a King and two double beds in two bedrooms and a combo couch/double bed in the third bedroom/den. Albacore has two full bathrooms. The large kitchen is fully stocked with every amenity. Washer, Dryer, Disposal, Dishwasher, the works!
Your feet hug Brazilian tile throughout the house. All 1900 square inches are Air-Conditioned. A safe is included for your added security.
Hermosa is a World famous Surfing beach for it's consistent and excellent waves. Our smoke-free home is also a five-minute drive or just two short miles south of Jaco, the country's most popular beach town. We have an elevated deck with a 360% view of the five mile beach to the west and jungle and mountains to the east.
A newly completed full size pool shimmers before you as you look out to the ocean. And what an ocean it is. Imagine a beach as far as you can see with no crowds. In fact, you might walk for two or three miles and not spy a soul.
While walking on the pristine charcoal sands, stop to see a line of 30 pelicans skimming the waves. Dip in the 75-degree water to feel refreshed by the nutrients from the volcanic sand. If surfing or boogie boarding are your passions, you have found your home.
Camp out on the deck to see and hear the amazing array of tropical bird life that will most certainly soar by. Wait a little longer to view Sunsets that alone make the trip worthwhile.

Manuel Antonio, one of the country's most popular National Parks, is just a one hour drive South. World class deep sea fishing is 15 minutes away at the stunning Los Suenos Marina. Other local activities include zip lines through the jungle canopies, bird and butterfly watching, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, white river rafting and especially deep sea fishing.
Our house is Handicap friendly with wide entrances and singular levels. Part or Full time maid and cooking services are also available. There's even fishermen who come almost everyday with freshly caught fish such as shrimp and lobster tail at unbelievable prices. We paid 10 dollars for seven lobster tails.
Costa Rica has more biodiversity both on land and in the sea than any other country in the world. Despite this, our favorite quality of Costa Rica are its people themselves. They truly display their famous saying 'Pura Vida' which means rich or pure life.
If you come and stay at Albacore, you will take back a little bit of Costa Rica with you. The attitude of 'Pura Vida' which is the joy of living.

"Hi Paul, Our trip was great and your home was everything I had expected and more. Your home is perfectly located and the tips you gave us were very helpful. We are pretty adventurous in our own way, but we certainly would have missed some very local spots. Our favorite restaurant was the Jungle Surf-by far they had the best food-(we ate there 3 times)The backyard was fun and Claritas was also one we really enjoyed. Hotel Tangeri restaurant was not on the list, but we ate there for breakfast and for lunch.(chicken with jalapeno cream sauce was very good) Their breakfast was less expensive and better (I thought) than the Sunrise. The pool is very nice and well designed-having traveled to Mexico several times, I was very impressed with the workmanship of the Costa Ricans. You might mention in your tips to bring binoculars. There was quite a show of different birds the last morning we were there behind your house. Also wanted to mention that the Tico's (Costa Ricans) that work for you were great. The boys and Israel had a great time. They work and keep the place looking great and are very personable. Teri (your hospitality person) was a lot of help and very nice as well. You have a great setup for guests. Costa Rica is a beautiful country and a week is not long enough especially with 2 days of travel. There is so much to do and see. We have done a lot of traveling, and Costa Rica is definitely a country to return to. Oh, one more thing to add to your tips. When you arrive at the airport, you can pay the departure tax upon arrival and not have to pay and stand in line when you leave-this saves a lot of time when leaving.
